  2. United's 'most complete performance'published at 17:37 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November

FT: Dundee United 3-0 Ross County

Dundee United manager Jim Goodwin told BBC Scotland: "We're really pleased with the overall performance. We started the game slow, Ross County had us penned back in but we grew into it.

"The second-half performance was a really dominant one. The majority was played in the Ross County half, played good football, moved it about well, good tempo. We got numerous deliveries into the box and we scored three really good goals.

"It's our most complete performance of the season so far and we certainly didn't underestimate Ross County coming into this game."

  3. Kettlewell happy with Motherwell progresspublished at 17:33 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November

    FT: Motherwell 2-1 St Johnstone

Motherwell manager Stuart Kettlewell: "I thought we started slow but as soon as we started turning the ball over we knew there would be a lot of open space and areas we could cause St Johnstone problems.

"That proved to be the case. We converted two really good chances. We started the second half absolutely fine but where the story changes is the penalty for St Johnstone.

"There was some nervous energy in the stadium, but we showed a bit of composure after they scored. It was just the last six or seven minutes when they had a lot of ball but our goalkeeper didn't have a save to make at the end.

"It's a good day's work for us. We're seven points better off than we were at this stage last season which is quite significant, and we've been in a national semi-final. So everyone can see there has been progression at this club."

  4. Another good day for United & Wellpublished at 17:29 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November

Hibs continued woes will hog the headlines. At this rate, the Edinburgh club will be celebrating their 150th anniversary in the Championship...

But how about Dundee United and Motherwell moving level on points with Rangers?

Of course, United have played two more games than the Ibrox giants and Motherwell one more - but the table looks good for fans of those two.

    FT: Hibernian 1-2 St Mirren

Hibs have had a few hard luck stories this season, dropping an extraordinary 11 points from winning positions, but this was a largely lamentable performance.

A minor improvement at 2-0 down in the second half but so many basic errors and a real lack of drive and desire.

Head coach David Gray will take the heat. But was it a good idea to appoint a rookie, even if he has such a strong connection to the club?

    FT: Hibernian 1-2 St Mirren

Many of the fans that stayed until the end at Easter Road were giving the players an earful on their way off.

There were also some choice words for Malky Mackay and Ben Kensell in the directors' area.

  7. 'Hibs need change at top'published at 17:15 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November

    FT: Hibernian 1-2 St Mirren

    Michael Stewart
    Former Hibs midfielder on Sportsound

Since Ron Gordon took over, all the good people at Hibs have moved on or left.

On the pitch, lesser players have been brought in for more money.

There's no point changing the manager unless there are changes higher up. They need proper people in charge, making decisions.

  8. 'St Mirren were brilliant'published at 17:09 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November

    FT: Hibernian 1-2 St Mirren

    Allan Preston
Former Hearts defender on BBC Sportsound

St Mirren thoroughly deserved their victory. They were brilliant.

Really poor from Hibs, but take nothing away from St Mirren. They are everything Hibs are not.

  12. FULL-TIME Hibernian 1-2 St Mirrenpublished at 17:01 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November

A first away win of the season for St Mirren as Hibs stay rock bottom of the Premiership pile.

Conor McMenamin grabbed a first-half double for the Paisley side, who took full advantage of a woeful display from the hosts.

Hibs wasted a lifeline when Martin Boyle's penalty was saved by Ellery Balcombe, before Nicky Cadden converted a stoppage-time spot-kick.

Cadden thought he'd equalised moments later, but his shot struck an offside Dwight Gayle on the way in.

    Hibernian 1-2 St Mirren

Aye. Hibs are denied an equaliser after a check that took far too long.

Pretty amazing that the on-field officials didn't see that.

  15. FULL-TIME Dundee United 3-0 Ross Countypublished at 16:56 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November

Dundee United continued their strong start to the Premiership season with a comfortable 3-0 win over an unusually porous Ross County.

United had plenty of chances in the first-half but didn't put any of them away. Thankfully for Jim Goodwin, they were far more clinical in the second half.

Luca Stephenson, Sam Dalby and 17-year-old Owen Stirton all punished lax County defending as they strolled to victory at Tannadice.

Motherwell hang on for a big three points!

Tawanda Maswanhise and Tom Sparrow did the damage in the first half. Nicky Clark's penalty wasn't enough for Saints, who had Jack Sanders' goal in stoppage time ruled out for handball.

It's a third straight defeat for Saints, and Simo Valakari's return to Fir Park ends on a low note personally.

Motherwell are fifth, level on 19 points with Dundee United and Rangers.
