A show-stopping start to the derby in SE16. Two goals in the opening three minutes certainly set the tone for a proper Championship battle.

Millwall boss Alex Neil, searching for his first home league victory, must be delighted that three of his January signings have contributed to their lead.

Derby need to grab hold of the middle area.

The decision making has been lacking.

League leaders Leeds go into the break with the lead. The two goals almost carbon copies of each other.

Joel Piroe threading it through to Dan James who has been making some brilliant runs and he just plays it into the space. Tapped home by Aaronson, the second by Solomon.

They could be 3-0 up or 4-0 up even. James with a fair few chances that have gone wide as well.

To sum this up, Leeds have had 12 attempts on goal in that first half. Cardiff one.

Leeds deserve a cup of tea, that's for sure.

Ref: Dan at 15:34, it’s always in the back of the mind when a poor result comes Leeds way, but it’s all about belief and getting the points when you can and expect a loss at some point, Dan James has been exceptional this season I keep saying he’s an unsung hero.. or is it just me?

    Slacky in Portsmouth

  5. 'What a lot of work for Swansea to do'published at 15:56 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February

    HT: Swansea 0-2 Coventry

    Gareth Vincent
BBC Sport Wales at the Swansea.com Stadium

That is an outstanding goal from Brandon Thomas-Asante, so good that even some home fans applauded.

After Goncalo Franco's loose touch allowed the ball to roll in his path, Thomas-Asante tried his luck with a first-time effort from at least 40 yards out and watched as the ball dipped under the crossbar.

Lawrence Vigouroux almost got back to push the ball over, but such was the accuracy of Thomas-Asante's shot that Swansea's goalkeeper could not save his team.

What a goal - and what a lot of work there is for Swansea to do if they are to avoid another defeat.

  6. Derby stepping up with gritty performancepublished at 15:55 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February

    Derby 0-0 Sheff Utd

    Andrew Aloia
    BBC Sport at Pride Park

In a first-half light on quality the opportunities have unsurprisingly been limited.

Both Derby and Sheffield United have had nearly moments, and while nothing has come of anything the Rams faithful will be the ones feeling better about the show so far.

Former Derby goalkeeper and coach Eric Steele spoke this week about the Rams needing to produce a gritty performance and making themselves hard to beat, and that is exactly what they are doing right now.

Millwall's January recruits have been the stars of the show so far.

Tristan Crama has been a constant threat on the right-hand side, sending the cross in for both goals with Aaron Connolly and Luke Cundle on the end of them for their first goals for the Lions.

All three are bringing a real energy and bite to this team, with Connolly and Cundle making a nuisance of themselves with and without the ball.

While the usually assured QPR left-back Kenneth Paal has had a rough time of it up against Crama.

    Not bad business at all.

  8. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:53 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February

    Swansea 0-2 Coventry

Coventry are full of confidence and well on their way to a fourth straight league win thanks to Ellis Simms and that super goal from Brandon-Thomas Asante.

What response to the home side have?

  9. 'Leeds have been positive'published at 15:53 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February

    HT: Leeds 2-0 Cardiff

    Simon Grayson
Ex-Leeds manager on BBC Radio Leeds

Leeds have been really positive in their play.

They maybe started a little sloppy with their passes but the early goal was a good base.

Dan James is playing with so much confidence and belief. The Cardiff left-back is having such a hard time with him.

  10. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:51 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February

    Derby 0-0 Sheff Utd

No goals in this one as the whistle goes.

Sheffield United have been closer but there is nothing between the sides at a tense Pride Park.

With results elsewhere, a win would be massive for either side.

  11. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:49 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February

    Hull 1-1 Stoke

Elliot Matazo's goal on his first Hull start has been cancelled out by Ali Al-Hamadi's equaliser just before the break.

The Tigers have been largely on top, but the Potters have a foothold in the game again as the teams head for a cuppa.

  12. goal

GOAL: Swansea 0-2 Coventrypublished at 15:49 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February

    Brandon Thomas-Asante (44 mins)

    It's been coming.

Brandon Thomas-Asante was earlier denied from point-blank range by Swansea keeper Laurence Vigouroux so he tries a different tack.

He goes to lob the stopper from 35 yards with a first-time dink. Vigouroux gets his finger-tips to it but can't keep it out.

    Stunning!

  13. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:48 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February

Manor Solomon screams in celebrationImage source, Rex Features

Leeds are cruising at the break.

Dan James has been the star of the show at Elland Road so far, teeing up Brenden Aaronson for the opener with a cross from the left after six minutes.

And just seven minutes later, James was again the provider, this time from the right as he broke into the area and squared for Manor Solomon to slot home from six yards.

The Whites will remain top of the Championship if they see this through in the second 45.

  15. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:48 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February

    Portsmouth 0-0 Burnley

Burnley have kept a clean sheet halfway through the match - no surprise with that one.

Portsmouth are giving this a good go, but it's very tight at Fratton Park.

  16. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:47 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February

    Swansea 0-1 Coventry

Coventry have bossed this half, but are so nearly pegged back by the Swans.

Josh Tymon sends in a cross which is met by a firm Ronald header.

But Coventry keeper Dovin flies to his left to make a two-handed stop.

  17. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:46 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February

    Millwall 2-1 QPR

Millwall lead at the break thanks to Luke Cundle's goal on debut.

A frantic opening to the game saw the Lions go ahead after just 30 seconds when Aaron Connolly slotted home in the far corner from Tristan Crama's cross.

QPR levelled just two minutes later through Alfie Lloyd, who squeezed in an effort from a tight angle.

But Cundle's header after George Saville had seen his effort rebound off the crossbar restored the lead for Millwall after 25 minutes.

An entertaining London derby so far.

  18. Postpublished at 15:46 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February

    Leeds 2-0 Cardiff

Cardiff City have had their first shot of the game after 43 minutes. Anwar El Ghazi has a go from range but it's comfortably for Leeds keeper Illan Meslier who catches with ease.

  19. 'Blades need just that bit of quality'published at 15:45 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February

    Derby 0-0 Sheff Utd

    Danny Hall
Sheffield Star journalist on BBC Radio Sheffield

It's just that bit of quality that Sheffield United need.

There maybe a bit of rustiness with Hamza Choudhury, he's not played much for Leicester this season.

  20. 'Players slipping and sliding'published at 15:45 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February

    Swansea 0-1 Coventry

    Laura Kenyon
BBC Final Score at the Swansea.com Stadium

There has been lots of chat about the pitch here in Swansea over recent weeks. I have to say, it isn’t looking great today.

Only 40 minutes in and looks properly cut up already.

Lots of players slipping and sliding too.
