  1. 'It has been all Huddersfield'published at 15:13 British Summer Time 16 August

    Blackpool 0-1 Huddersfield

    Brett Ormerod
Former Blackpool striker on BBC Radio Lancashire

At the moment it has been all Huddersfield

There is four Huddersfield players on one Blackpool player - they are just dominating the midfield.

Huddersfield are one step in front of Blackpool and are always first to the ball.

  2. CLOSE!published at 15:09 British Summer Time 16 August

    Bradford 0-0 Luton

It's the hosts who have come closest to breaking the deadlock as Stephen Humphrys picks up the ball out wide, drives forward and lets fly with a fizzing angled strike which skids just past Josh Keeley's upright.

  3. goal

GOAL: Bromley 0-1 Fleetwood Townpublished at 15:09 British Summer Time 16 August

    James Bolton (8 mins)

Well then, Bromley have already had three pops at goal but when the turn falls to Fleetwood, they make it count.

They get themselves a corner and when it falls to James Bolton in the box his shot deflects off Bromley keeper Grant Smith for the opening goal.

  4. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 15:09 British Summer Time 16 August

    Bromley 0-0 Fleetwood

You'll be unsurprised to hear who launched the first shot at goal at Hayes Lane.

Yes, it's Bromley's Michael Cheek. He doesn't land it in the net but there are some penalty shouts for handball on Zech Medley but they fall on deaf ears.

  5. Elsewhere in League Twopublished at 15:08 British Summer Time 16 August

Right then, we have a couple of very early goals to bring you in League Two.

It's a horrible start for Newport at Grimsby as striker Courtney Baker-Richardson puts the ball into his own net to give the Mariners the lead. It came via a deflection from a Kieran Green header.

And Walsall lead Barrow through Connor Barrett.

  6. 'Huddersfield are roaring'published at 15:06 British Summer Time 16 August

    Blackpool 0-0 Huddersfield

    Paul Ogden
Huddersfield Town commentator, BBC Radio Leeds

Huddersfield Town have come out roaring and you can here them - I think I heard the roof creak when that goal went in.

Town have come here for three points and that's what they are doing.

  7. goal

GOAL: Blackpool 0-1 Huddersfieldpublished at 15:04 British Summer Time 16 August

    Ben Wiles (4 mins)

The early leaders waste no time in taking an early lead...

Ruben Roosken drives down the left and lays off to Ben Wiles who takes a touch and tries his luck with a left-footed strike from outside the area which flies through a crowd, nicks off a defender and beats Tamgerines keeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell into the corner to put the Terriers ahead.

Joy for Lee Grant but more gloom for Steve Bruce, who has overseen three defeats in all competitions this season.

  9. 'Exciting talent on show'published at 14:58 British Summer Time 16 August

    Barnsley v Bolton (15:00 BST)

    Sanny Rudravajhala
BBC Radio 5 Live at Oakwell

There’s some really exciting talent on show today. Barnsley fans have been raving about 19-year-old Vimal Yoganathan.

The academy graduate burst on the scene with a double against Manchester United in the EFL Trophy last season but is being trusted to start by new Barnsley boss Conor Hourihane.

Amario Cozier-Duberry was sensational when I saw his Bolton side tear Plymouth Argyle apart last Saturday. He then scored in the week in their EFL Cup defeat by Sheffield Wednesday. The Arsenal academy graduate is on loan from Brighton and is a wildcard on the right flank.

But there’s a place for the oldies here too. David McGoldrick is 37, but he can bend space and time when he wants to with some of his efforts. A tap-in 93rd-minute winner against Burton last Saturday shows he can go beyond the 90 minutes too.

I’m really looking forward to this one!

  10. Test of Terriers credentials at the seasidepublished at 14:51 British Summer Time 16 August

    Blackpool v Huddersfield (15:00 BST)

Table-topping Huddersfield head to Blackpool seeking to extend their perfect start to the campaign.

League One wins and clean sheets against Leyton Orient and Reading - two sides who finished more than 10 points ahead of the Terriers last season - have set the tone, while they matched a strong Leicester line-up for much of their EFL Cup encounter on Wednesday, eventually prevailing on penalties (pictured).

The Tangerines, by contrast, have shipped seven goals in losing their opening two games against Stevenage and Exeter, and were dumped out of the EFL Cup 1-0 at home by Port Vale.

Steve Bruce's side are however on their best run against the Terriers in 33 years, taking eight points and going unbeaten in their past four encounters.

Under new boss Lee Grant the Terriers are looking to win their opening three games for the second straight season, but be warned, the past two clashes between the sides at Bloomfield Road ended 2-2.

  11. Hatters aim to keep rolling, but no Wells returnpublished at 14:46 British Summer Time 16 August

    Bradford v Luton (15:00 BST)

Nahki Wells in action for LutonImage source, Rex Features

Upward momentum and downward momentum come head-to-head at Valley Parade as Luton visit Bradford City.

Matt Bloomfield’s Hatters are among the League One pacesetters following their back-to-back relegations after a 1-0 win over AFC Wimbledon and a 2-0 triumph at Peterborough.

After their dramatic promotion from League Two, Bradford stunned Bloomfield’s old club Wycombe 2-1 on the opening day before a goalless draw at Northampton last Saturday - though a much-changed XI did register a wonderful 2-1 win at Blackburn in the EFL Cup on Tuesday.

The Bantams are seeking their first win over the Hatters since April 1968, taking just three points from their eight meetings since then, while Luton have scored once in each of their past four visits to Bradford, enough for two wins and two draws.

Former City striker Nahki Wells (pictured) was hoping to make his first appearance against the club for which he scored 46 goals in 94 appearances between 2011 and 2013, but a knock in training has ruled him out.

  12. No hiding place for Crewe as they host winless Crawleypublished at 14:40 British Summer Time 16 August

    Crewe v Crawley (15:00 BST)

    Media caption,

Crewe boss Lee Bell says his players need to train hard to keep their place in the team.

Crawley Town are still seeking a win under their new ownership.

They lost both of their first two league games, as well as suffering a Carabao Cup defeat by Swansea, and will be keen to stop the early rot.

Though for hosts Crewe, it's been a different kind of start. They've won both their league games and boss Lee Bell has high expectations for what his squad can produce this season.

"The message to the lads that have been playing, there might be a few changes on Saturday, but you've got to keep your shirt.

"It's a high bar and we want that to continue. They've got to train properly. They've got give all their support to the players that are playing. We will be picking up on stuff like that this year.

"If they think they should be in the team but they are not hitting the numbers we want them to in training, there's no hiding place anymore."

  13. Titan-tacklers Bromley host victorious Codspublished at 14:38 British Summer Time 16 August

    Bromley v Fleetwood (15:00 BST)

Bromley boss Andy WoodmanImage source, Rex Features

It's been a massive week for Bromley.

Not only are they undefeated this season, they took a massive scalp in the Carabao Cup when they knocked out Ipswich Town, a side who spent last season in the Premier League, in a tight penalty shoot-out.

It may come as no surprise that manager Andy Woodman was given a contract extension to keep him at the club until 2028.

The victors now host Fleetwood in the hopes of sustaining their unbeaten run, which will be tricky considering the Cods have won both of their first two league matches.

  14. FULL-TIMEpublished at 14:33 British Summer Time 16 August

    Burton 0-0 Port Vale

A thoroughly deserved point for gutsy Port Vale, who played with 10 men for more than 85 minutes after George Byers was shown a straight red card after flying into a rash challenge on Charlie Webster.

The visitors rode their luck at times, with Marko Marosi having to keep them in it on occasion and Jake Beesley sending two headers narrowly wide in addition to being thwarted by the keeper deep into 13 minutes of added time, but Vale had chances of their own with Ronan Curtis nodding just past the post and Jesse Debrah heading wide late-on as Darren Moore's side tried to mount a grandstand finale.

  15. GREAT SAVE!published at 14:31 British Summer Time 16 August

    Burton 0-0 Port Vale

Jake Beesley is denied what would surely have been a winner in the Staffordshire derby.

Keeper Marko Marosi somehow blocks from point-blank range, a couple of yards out.

  16. Postpublished at 14:30 British Summer Time 16 August

    Burton 0-0 Port Vale

101 minutes on the clock, Burton have a deep free-kick and Vale are on the edge of their box.

  17. FULL-TIMEpublished at 14:28 British Summer Time 16 August

    Exeter 1-2 Mansfield

Mansfield are off and running with late drama of their own.

Will Evans won it for the Stags four minutes from time after starting and ending a neat move with a close-range finish.

Exeter bossed long spells of the game and drew a string of quality saves from Liam Roberts, but the only time they beat him was from the spot, Josh Magennis firing in a penalty which had cancelled out Frazer Blake-Tracy's first-half header.

  18. FULL-TIMEpublished at 14:28 British Summer Time 16 August

    Oldham 1-2 Swindon

    All over at Boundary Park.

Back-to-back league wins for Ian Holloway's Swindon thanks to goals from Joe Snowdon and Tom Nichols.

The Robins move up to fourth in League Two ahead of the 15:00 BST kick-offs.

Oldham did pull one back before half-time through Joe Quigley but couldn't find an equaliser as Mickey Mellon's side taste defeat for the first time this season.

  19. 'Very frustrating for Albion'published at 14:28 British Summer Time 16 August

    Burton 0-0 Port Vale

    Dave Fletcher
    BBC Radio Derby Sport

This is all very frustrating for Burton Albion and they haven't managed to wrestle out the three points.

The Port Vale fans are delighted with their players and the performance they have put in after being down to ten men for the majority of the match.

  20. FULL-TIMEpublished at 14:28 British Summer Time 16 August

    Chesterfield 3-1 Bristol Rovers

Three league games down and three straight wins for Chesterfield as they seal all three points against a 10-man Bristol Rovers side.

For the Gas, it's three straight losses.

They will have a lot to say about the first-half red card for Joel Senior that led to the first goal but this was never a game they were on the front foot for.
