    Newport 0-0 Salford

    Dafydd Pritchard
BBC Sport Wales at Rodney Parade

Things are just starting to warm up at Newport, where Bobby Kamwa has headed narrowly over for the home side and Salford captain Luke Garbutt has whipped in a fine free-kick which hit the bar.

  2. GREAT SAVE!published at 20:03 British Summer Time 19 August

    Fleetwood 0-1 Crewe

Crewe are looking dangerous. Just like a side who are leading the league.

Midfielder Max Sanders delivers a free-kick and it arches perfectly onto the head of captain Mickey Demetriou.

The skipper's header is superb but Fleetwood keeper Jay Lynch is equal to it. Light on his feet to parry it out and the follow-up can only meet the side netting.

  3. Postpublished at 20:03 British Summer Time 19 August

    Newport 0-0 Salford

    Dafydd Pritchard
BBC Sport Wales at Rodney Parade

Not much to set the pulse racing at Rodney Parade so far.

The closest either side has come to a goal is a shot from Newport's Wales international midfielder Matt Smith which was deflected over the bar.

Plenty of effort and physicality from both sides, just lacking in composure and quality.

  4. goal

GOAL Stockport 1-0 Bradfordpublished at 20:02 British Summer Time 19 August

    Owen Moxon (16 mins)

    It's been coming...

A neat reverse pass sends Kyle Wootton into the area but the ball cannons back off Curtis Tilt to the edge of the box where Owen Moxon is on hand to whip an angled low shot across goal and inside Sam Walker's left-hand post.

    One unbeaten side lead another.

  5. 'Moore will be happy enough'published at 20:02 British Summer Time 19 August

    Port Vale 0-0 Stevenage

    Mike Baggaley
Port Vale journalist on BBC Radio Stoke

Darren Moore will be happy enough with the way Vale are playing, but he will be wanting them to be more clinical in front of goal.

Lorent Tolaij's work rate has been incredible so far.

  6. EFL Cup latestpublished at 20:01 British Summer Time 19 August

    Tranmere 0-1 Burton

Deadlock broken in the rearranged EFL Cup first round tie between Tranmere and Burton and it's Burton's Ben Whitfield with the goal to give his side the lead at Prenton Park.

  7. Postpublished at 20:01 British Summer Time 19 August

    Port Vale 0-0 Stevenage

First real opening of the game goes to the league leaders as Harvey White's corner is cleared to the edge of the box where Jordan Houghton us unable to keep his volley on target, sending the ball well past the angle of post and bar.

  8. KICK-OFF AT BESCOTpublished at 20:00 British Summer Time 19 August

    Walsall 0-0 Grimsby

    You ready?

Our late game at the Pallet-Track Bescot Stadium has begun.

  9. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 19:59 British Summer Time 19 August

    Fleetwood 0-1 Crewe

Josh March has started brightly in the evening's fading light.

He gets into position and lets the ball roll down his body nicely in the box but he lifts his shot too high as it flies above the bar.

The ball is then up the other end but the whistle soon blows. The hosts think it's for a handball and look disappointed when they realise it's been awarded the other way.

  10. GREAT SAVE!published at 19:57 British Summer Time 19 August

    Huddersfield 0-0 Doncaster

Owen Goodman to the rescue for Town, who look nearly as hapless at the back as they did on Saturday.

They conceded possession cheaply then allow Glenn Middleton acres of space to hare into the box, only for his left-footed strike to be blocked well by the sprawling keeper Goodman.

  11. GREAT SAVE!published at 19:56 British Summer Time 19 August

    Stockport 0-0 Bradford

The Hatters have begun the brighter but Jack Diamond's dipping shot from 25 yards out flew over Sam Walker's crossbar.

Moments later Corey O'Keeffe then picked out Owen Dodgson at the far post but after some neat control his near-post strike was palmed away by Walker low to his right.

  12. Postpublished at 19:55 British Summer Time 19 August

    Gillingham 0-0 Chesterfield

Tom Naylor is making a 100th appearance for the Spireites and he wants to mark it with an opener.

He tries to rifle in a shot from an awkward angle but while it has plenty of firepower, he can't drag it on target as it ripples the wrong side of the net.

  13. 'Doncaster on the front foot'published at 19:53 British Summer Time 19 August

    Huddersfield 0-0 Doncaster

    Paul Ogden
Huddersfield Town commentator, BBC Radio Leeds

The opening six minutes of this match has seen the ball mainly in Huddersfield's territory.

Doncaster have come here on the front foot and Town are under the cosh already.

  14. Postpublished at 19:53 British Summer Time 19 August

    Gillingham 0-0 Chesterfield

There's a bit of rotation from Chesterfield for tonight's encounter.

Forward Lee Bonis is on the bench alongside midfielder Dylan Duffy, whose enjoyed a great start to his season.

The Irishman has had a goal involvement in all three of the Spireites games so far - two assists and one goal.

  15. CLOSE!published at 19:53 British Summer Time 19 August

    Huddersfield 0-0 Doncaster

    Doncaster have started brilliantly.

Luke Molyneux is found in space on the right of the Terriers penalty area, fires a low ball across the box where Billy Sharp takes a first-time shot which cannons off defender Joe Low.

  16. 'Sadler knows exactly what he is doing'published at 19:52 British Summer Time 19 August

    Walsall v Grimsby (20:00 BST)

    Richard Wilford
    BBC Radio WM commentator

Walsall have made a good start to season. I always think continuity is huge and usually continuity is about having the same players and about having a system that you know.

Walsall always like to get quite a bit of business done early in the window, and early in July you start to see this list of players coming in day after day. However, all the players that have come in have integrated very quickly and the pre-season has been very effective and they know what they are doing.

All of this gives you an advantage over other teams in League Two and these days the bottom eight or 10 of the league are dictated by clubs that have got no money or no sense of direction. Walsall are not in that position and it is no surprise to me that Walsall have made such a great start.

It all points towards Mat Sadler and his coaching staff that they know exactly what they have got to do this season.

  17. CLOSE!published at 19:48 British Summer Time 19 August

    Huddersfield 0-0 Doncaster

What a ball in this is from Glenn Middleton, whipped in deep from the left flank and drawing an excellent far-post header from Town defender Murray Wallace to flick the ball behind under pressure from red and white shirts.

  18. goal

Well, Conor Thomas may be missing but the goals are already coming in for Crewe.

Josh March creeps in on the left and rips off an early shot. He doesn't quite get the angle right but he does end up finding the right place at the right time as Fleetwood defender Toby Mullarkey accidentally runs it into goal.

  19. Postpublished at 19:46 British Summer Time 19 August

    Fleetwood 0-0 Crewe

There's no Conor Thomas for Crewe tonight.

He's already scored twice this season - how much of a miss will that be?

Meanwhile, Fleetwood keeper David Harrington needed to be replaced last minute on the bench meaning tonight's back-up keeper will be Luke Hewitson.

  20. Postpublished at 19:46 British Summer Time 19 August

    Port Vale 0-0 Stevenage

One change apiece at Vale Park as Jordan Shipley starts for the hosts in place of George Byers, whose appeal against his red card at Burton on Saturday was unsuccessful, meaning a three game ban.

Phoenix Patterson is the only Boro change, with the youngster handed his first league start with Chem Campbell dropping to the bench.
