Antoine Semenyo scored twice as Bournemouth came from behind to beat Fulham in stormy conditions and move up to second in the Premier League table.

Ryan Sessegnon had given Fulham the lead when he ran onto a through ball from Samuel Chukwueze before clipping the ball over Cherries keeper Djordje Petrovic.

But Bournemouth levelled when Semenyo got the ball on the left wing, beat several players and stopped the ball going over the byeline before slotting a shot through Bernd Leno's legs from a tight angle.

Then substitute Justin Kluivert got the ball in the centre circle, charged forward and unleashed an unstoppable strike from 25 yards to put Bournemouth ahead.

As Fulham pushed forward for an equaliser in stoppage time, Semenyo capped a superb individual night with his second goal - to go with an assist - after finishing off an emphatic counter-attack.

Until the 70th minute, the game looked as if it was going to end in an instantly forgettable goalless draw as both sides struggled to create much in the wind and rain of Storm Amy.

Bournemouth are now second in the Premier League table, just one point below Liverpool - although everyone else has yet to play this weekend.

Spanish manager Andoni Iraola is doing a fantastic job this season at Bournemouth, who seem to have brushed off the loss of £200m worth of first-team players in the summer.

They have not lost a game since the opening day defeat at Liverpool - and key to that has been Semenyo's form.

He is now up to six Premier League goals for the season, only behind Erling Haaland, after this fine double.

Iraola will deserve a lot of credit too as he replaced defender Marcos Senesi with winger Ben Gannon-Doak in a tactical reshuffle one minute before the comeback started.

Just seven minutes later - with his team having come from 1-0 down to 2-1 up - he changed the formation back by bringing on defender Veljko Milosavljevic for forward David Brooks.

Fulham had to play without a recognised striker. Rodrigo Muniz was already sidelined with a hip injury, while Raul Jimenez hurt his hip last weekend against Aston Villa.

Marco Silva said beforehand that it was going to be an issue as they always play with one striker or the other.

In the end they alternated a bit, with Harry Wilson and Josh King having a go at false nine.

Fulham will have thought it was not going to matter when full-back Sessegnon played a one-two with recent substitute Chukwueze.

But then Semenyo happened to them.

Both sides are finished until after the international break now.

On Saturday, 18 October, Bournemouth visit Crystal Palace at 15:00 BST and Fulham host Arsenal at 17:30.
