  2. Goalscorers Ross and Miller reflect on title winpublished at 22:32 British Summer Time 2 May

    FT: Falkirk 3-1 Hamilton Accies

Falkirk's Ethan Ross, who scored a double this evening, tells BBC Scotland: "I can't really sum it up to be honest, it feels amazing.

"The gaffer pulled me yesterday and said he wanted more from me and said he wanted more from me, so, I hope that's enough that I've given him tonight!

"There were question marks on our bottle and the last couple of results, tonight though, there was no doubt who the champions of the Championship are.

Calvin Miller, who scored the third, adds: "To do back-to-back promotions, it was an aim the gaffer spoke about to try and do an Ipswich Town scenario, and that is what we have done.

"It's more relief actually, after going 1-0 down in the game and a poor start and recent weeks that's been the situation for us, but to come out and win the league it's incredible."

  3. 'Content and fulfilled' Arfield celebrates trophypublished at 22:30 British Summer Time 2 May

    FT: Falkirk 3-1 Hamilton Accies

Falkirk hero Scott Arfield tells BBC Scotland: "What a special night. I've had some amazing memories in my career, but this will be the most content and fulfilled that I've felt in my career.

"It was a story that meant so much. There's a special number on my back, there's so many sub-plots and co-stars... for me, it means everything.

"I saw the club from afar 15 years ago. It was on its knees at times. Now to where it's going to get to again... it'll get back to the club I knew it was.

"Players can come through this system again. The youth system gave me everything and now it'll be back. For the next 20 years, you'll see kids progressing and playing for Falkirk. That should get people excited.

"We were always going to win this game. We had a day out on Saturday as a team and the teams that drink together, win together. We trained so well this week. It was inevitable we would win."

  4. 'Ipswich' emulated by Falkirkpublished at 22:25 British Summer Time 2 May

    FT: Falkirk 3-1 Hamilton Accies

Finally from manager John McGlynn: "First day back we said 'Ipswich'. They've just gone back to back, can we do it?

"It's not something you say publicly. But reality is reality, and the start we got, the spirit we have... I'm just delighted for everyone at the football club.

"The players take the most credit, but it's the whole team. Paul Smith has been amazing for me. I'm thanking everyone tonight.

"Thank you to my wife for putting up with me when I've been so crabbit recently. These moments I'll never forget. I got to savour the dressing room, and you never got those moments back."

  6. McGlynn talks of promotion 'belief'published at 22:22 British Summer Time 2 May

    FT: Falkirk 3-1 Hamilton Accies

More from league-winning manager John McGlynn: "I had plenty of belief, I knew the character in the dressing room. It's not like I've just arrived in the Championship myself, I've been there many times. We were knocking on the door with Raith Rovers.

"It wasn't new to us. We knew with the style of play and players we had, we had a chance. You see the stadium tonight, how many fans we've had - they've backed us all season.

"We did believe. The reality is sometimes you believe and it's false. But we stayed up there for a long term to get shot down. Fair play to Livingston, they gave us a run for our money at the end but we've come out on top."

  7. 'Absolutely different class' - McGlynnpublished at 22:18 British Summer Time 2 May

    FT: Falkirk 3-1 Hamilton Accies

Falkirk manager John McGlynn tells BBC Scotland: "It's an amazing feeling, absolutely different class.

"We made it hard for ourselves over the last few weeks, but it's all come to fruition tonight.

"Again, we made it hard tonight by going behind, but the guys have shown enormous character to come back in the game, dictate the game, control the game, play our football and get the goals we deserve.

"I can't compliment the players highly enough, they've just been incredible, coming up from League 1 as invincible.

"The league table never lies and we've been there [top] for a long time".

"We've come up a level, everyone knows how difficult the Championship is, and we've come out on top. It speaks volumes of the players that they could step up and continue to play the standard we've played at."

    John McGlynn has done it.

He's guided Falkirk to consecutive titles, and written his name in the history books of Falkirk FC. It could get even better - he's nominated for the PFA Manager of the Year award.

    We'll hear from him shortly.

Here comes Neil Doncaster with Falkirk legend Alex Totten, carrying the trophy onto the pitch. I'm sure Amy Canavan was there somewhere, too.

They'll have to drag those Falkirk players out of the dressing room, soaked to the back teeth with Peroni (other lagers are available) and feeling exuberant.

    Scenes on the way.

Tonight was the first night that there was big jeopardy for Falkirk, had they lost.

They've been the front runners and set the tempo, they've been the best team to watch and played the best football.

They got the job done tonight, great professionalism.

    They deserved to win.

Partick Thistle seal a playoff berth with a win over second-place Livingston.

Macaulay Tait's first-half own goal was the difference, and Partick will now face Ayr United in the first round of the Scottish Premiership playoffs.

Livingston needed a win to try and clinch the title, but failed to score despite being on top for most of the game.
