  1. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:21 Greenwich Mean Time 16 November 2024

    Exeter 0-0 Lincoln

    That's that.

Not a great deal of goalmouth threat, but Lincoln have come closest through Lewis Montsma who forced a fine save from Exeter stopper Joe Whitworth.

Just the two shots on target.

  2. Postpublished at 45+2 mins

    Exeter 0-0 Lincoln

Lincoln keeper George Wickens is out well and gets a clear punch on a dangerous free-kick whipped in from the left into a crowded six-yard box.

That could be the last chance of the half.

  3. INJURY TIMEpublished at 13:17 Greenwich Mean Time 16 November 2024

    Exeter 0-0 Lincoln

    Three minutes of stoppage time.

Not as many as expected to be honest.

  4. YELLOW CARDpublished at 43 mins

    Exeter 0-0 Lincoln

A second Lincoln player goes into the book as Ben House goes in late on Ryan Woods and earns a yellow.

Only a push, nothing serious, but the challenge rather sums up the mood.

  5. Postpublished at 42 mins

    Exeter 0-0 Lincoln

It's all getting a bit tetchy here and we have our first bout of handbags after Jack Aitchison catches Conor McGrandles.

It earns the pair a talking to from referee Thomas Parsons.

Aitchison suddenly finds himself set free behind the Lincoln back four, but they recover quickly to cut out his attempted pass.

  6. Postpublished at 37 mins

    Exeter 0-0 Lincoln

Another promising position for Lincoln here, this time on the right of the Exeter box as Ben House is brought down by Ben Purrington.

Joe Whitworth punches the free-kick clear but only as far as Dom Jefferies whose first-time sidefoot volley slides just past the right post.

Paudie O'Connor is back on for Lincoln but looks far from comfortable.

  7. Postpublished at 35 mins

    Exeter 0-0 Lincoln

No sooner has Ben House returned to the field, than his team-mate Paudie O'Connor goes down.

The big defender doesn't look happy after seemingly hurting his knee in making a challenge. He limps to the sideline for a further look.

It's all a bit stop-start. Plenty of stoppage-time to come.

  8. 'A real blow'published at 13:07 Greenwich Mean Time 16 November 2024

    Exeter 0-0 Lincoln

    Mark Hone
Former Lincoln City defender on BBC Radio Lincolnshire

You don't want wholesale changes if you can.

That's really a blow if Ben House has to come off.

They've got so many big games coming up that they can't risk him.

  9. Postpublished at 32 mins

    Exeter 0-0 Lincoln

Ben House is down on the turf a few moments as he was caught by Pierce Sweeney's follow through.

    Time for a breather.

Michael Skubala will not want to lose the forward who has four goals this season.

He's taken off the pitch for treatment and Lincoln play on with 10 men for now.

  10. Postpublished at 28 mins

    Exeter 0-0 Lincoln

Exeter respond with some incisive build up towards Caleb Watts out on the right once more.

He picks out the run of Ryan Woods who fires high over the bar and into the Big Bank.

Millenic Alli then tries to loop the ball over Imps keeper George Wickens but it's an easy stop

  11. 'Brilliant save'published at 13:00 Greenwich Mean Time 16 November 2024

    That is a brilliant save.

Jack Moylan's free-kick is low, missed everyone at the near post.

Joe Whitworth had to get down very quickly and Lincoln couldn't get on the rebound.

  12. GREAT SAVE!published at 25 mins

    Exeter 0-0 Lincoln

    Terrific save, Joe Whitworth!

Paudie O'Connor wins a free-kick to the left of the Exeter box which is whipped to the near post.

Lewis Montsma touches it goalwards but the Grecians stopper shows great reactions to paw it away with his left hand.

  13. Postpublished at 22 mins

    Exeter 0-0 Lincoln

The Imps are not seeing much of the ball, but look comfortable in defence and a real threat when they break.

Caleb Watts has seen a lot of the ball out on Exeter's right and finally has space to run into. He jinks into the box, beating one man, but again goes for glory and the shot is easily blocked.

He darts once more towards the Imps byeline, but his touch is heavy and the ball runs out of play.

  14. 'Good from Lincoln'published at 12:51 Greenwich Mean Time 16 November 2024

    Exeter 0-0 Lincoln

    Mark Hone
Former Lincoln City defender on BBC Radio Lincolnshire

Two, three quick passes got through the lines easily, it's just Jack Moylan couldn't get it on target.

But that was good from Lincoln. Really good.

  15. Postpublished at 17 mins

    Exeter 0-0 Lincoln

The hosts have pinned their opponents back in their own half for a spell here.

But Lincoln break quickly and go closest of either side to finding the net.

The visitors win possession on the halfway line and Ben House lays the ball across to the left of the 18-yard box where Jack Moylan sidefoots just over the bar.

That's a second sighter for Moylan.

  16. '10 years ago, that's a great challenge'published at 12:46 Greenwich Mean Time 16 November 2024

    Exeter 0-0 Lincoln

    Mark Hone
Former Lincoln City defender on BBC Radio Lincolnshire

10 to 15 years ago, that's a great challenge. These days you can't do that.

It's a little bit of a lunge and it's the same as Ethan Hamilton did on the opposite side in the first couple of minutes. Conor McGrandles does the same.

  17. YELLOW CARDpublished at 13 mins

    Exeter 0-0 Lincoln

Exeter have had almost two-thirds of the early possession, but Lincoln won't mind that - keeper George Wickens has not yet been called into action.

Then the first card of the day.

Conor McGrandles goes through the back of Vincent Harper and goes into the book.

The Lincoln defender argues that he got the ball but the sliding challenge earns yellow.

Historical omens may not offer Imps fans much hope this afternoon - they have won just once in their last 10 visits to St James Park, back in 2018.

But what counts is the here and now.

Their recent form will provide much more encouragement.

Lincoln have lost just one of their last 16 away league games stretching back to last season.

They have won nine in that run with the one blip coming at Crawley last month.

  19. Postpublished at 7 mins

    Exeter 0-0 Lincoln

No-one has more goals in League One from set-pieces than Lincoln and a long throw into the box causes a few problems.

The home defence makes a right meal of clearing and the ball loops up to Paudie O'Connor who heads well wide.

But Exeter are quickly back on the attack with Jack McMillan again in the mix.

He works the ball to Caleb Webb on the right who plays a low ball into the box, but it's cut out by O'Connor.

  20. Postpublished at 4 mins

    Exeter 0-0 Lincoln

Now Caleb Watts finds space in front of the Lincoln box after a neat one-two with Jack McMillan.

But with players waiting in good positions, he goes for goal and drags a low shot wide of the right-hand post.
