  1. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 78 mins

    Exeter 0-0 Lincoln

Lincoln followers will be growing increasingly concerned they have not turned their pressure and near-misses into a lead as we head towards the final 10 minutes.

Exeter enjoy a rare bit of possession in the Lincoln half and win a corner which keeper George Wickens flaps clear.

Lincoln boss Michael Skubala opts for another attacking change - Dylan Duffy on for Ben House.

  2. 'Fine margins'published at 14:06 Greenwich Mean Time 16 November 2024

It's brilliant ball in from Dom Jefferies and Ben House has tried to control the header.

It's fired at him and he's just trying to control the header to get it on target and he's just a little bit unlucky.

    Fine margins.

Lincoln have been excellent this half, they really have.

  3. YELLOW CARDpublished at 73 mins

    Exeter 0-0 Lincoln

Pierce Sweeney picks up his fourth yellow card of the season and Lincoln almost profit from the free-kick.

Dom Jefferies is picked out on the right of the box and drills the ball back across to the back post where Ben House heads just over the bar.

  4. Postpublished at 70 mins

    Exeter 0-0 Lincoln

Back-to-back corners for the visitors and the second almost provides the breakthrough.

Ethan Erhahon recycles the second corner back to Jack Moylan on the left of the box.

He wriggles through and fires the ball across the box, forcing keeper Joe Whitworth to claw away.

Exeter finally clear after an almighty scramble.

  5. Postpublished at 68 mins

    Exeter 0-0 Lincoln

We're midway through the second half and still no breakthrough.

It's looking all ends up that the first goal could well be the winner.

Lincoln have looked the most likely, but it's very, very tight.

  6. 'Imps getting under Grecians' skin'published at 13:59 Greenwich Mean Time 16 November 2024

    Exeter 0-0 Lincoln

    Mark Hone
Former Lincoln City defender on BBC Radio Lincolnshire

    I'd have taken a 0-0.

But with the way this is going, Lincoln could win it. Their physicality is getting to the Exeter players.

They are winning the verbal battle on the pitch, they getting under the Exeter players' skins.

  7. YELLOW CARDpublished at 66 mins

    Exeter 0-0 Lincoln

    No doubt about that one.

Ethan Erhahon clips the ball past Ryan Woods who can't avoid connecting with his sliding challenge.

Woods is not a happy bunny. He's continuing to chunter away and a petulant kick then earns a quick word of warning from the ref.

  8. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 64 mins

    Exeter 0-0 Lincoln

Lincoln make their second change as Jovon Makama comes on up top in place of leading scorer Bailey Cadamarteri.

  9. 'Excellent move'published at 13:53 Greenwich Mean Time 16 November 2024

    Exeter 0-0 Lincoln

    Mark Hone
Former Lincoln City defender on BBC Radio Lincolnshire

Sometimes you've got to hold your hands up.

Great interplay. That's the first time Exeter have strung two or three passes together, that was an excellent move.

  10. Postpublished at 13:53 Greenwich Mean Time 16 November 2024

    Exeter 0-0 Lincoln

Demetri Mitchell has looked lively since coming on and almost finds the net for the hosts.

He darts towards the box and is found well by Ryan Woods. A quick one-two with Jack Aitchison and he clips a shot towards the bottom corner but it's deflected wide.

  11. Postpublished at 57 mins

    Exeter 0-0 Lincoln

Lincoln have flipped the possession stats in the early stages of the half, and are seeing way more of the ball.

And there's an end product with five attempts on goal, two on target.

It's all getting too much for Gary Caldwell who shows his frustration and gets a talking to from ref Thomas Parsons but avoids a card.

    For now.

  12. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 55 mins

    Exeter 0-0 Lincoln

Lincoln are turning up the heat here after the break and Exeter boss Gary Caldwell has seen enough.

He makes a double change. Demetri Mitchell comes on for Vincent Harper, and Caleb Watts makes way for Jay Bird.

  13. 'Erhahon has shaken the Exeter players'published at 13:44 Greenwich Mean Time 16 November 2024

    Exeter 0-0 Lincoln

    Mark Hone
Former Lincoln City defender on BBC Radio Lincolnshire

    Brilliant play from Lincoln.

That was really good play from the Imps. Lincoln have come out with a little bit more intensity than Exeter have.

Ethan Erhahon has shaken the Exeter players up.

  14. BIG CHANCEpublished at 13:44 Greenwich Mean Time 16 November 2024

    Exeter 0-0 Lincoln

Great work from Jack Moylan on the left as he shrugs off his marker and works his way to the byline.

The Imps man is free to play a ball into the six-yard box towards the lurking Bailey Cadamarteri but it's cut out.

Another lovely move ends with Moylan sliding a pass into the box for Ben House who gets a shot away but Joe Whitworth makes the save.

  15. Postpublished at 49 mins

    Exeter 0-0 Lincoln

    Oh Vincent Harper!

Justin Kramer makes a thrilling run from deep in his own half and into Lincoln territory.

He looks to play Harper on down the left, but the Exeter full-back strays offside.

    Then Lincoln respond.

A corner is half-cleared to Dom Jefferies whose shot loops to Lewis Montsma who heads it goalwards. But an easy save,

Bit scrappy at the moment. Both teams not able to keep hold of possession.

Exeter win tight games here, nothing was ever going to be easy.

  17. Grecians defence make their pointpublished at 13:37 Greenwich Mean Time 16 November 2024

They may not score a hatful of goals, but boy do Exeter make them count.

They’ve found the net only 14 times in 13 League One outings this season, and are today without leading scorer Kamari Doyle who was a late call-up to England Under-20 squad.

But when you pair that with the division’s joint-meanest defence you get results.

The Grecians’ back line has been breached just 10 times in the league this term, and only four times at home. The Imps attack has its work cut out.

  18. KICK-OFFpublished at 13:36 Greenwich Mean Time 16 November 2024

    Exeter 0-0 Lincoln

It's grey overhead at St James and the football certainly lacked a little bit of colour in the first half.

So I'm sure there'll be plenty in the tank for the second half.

Unsurprisingly Lincoln defender Paudie O'Connor won't play a part in it after that first-half knock. He's replaced by midfielder Ethan Erhahon.

Bear with us, I have a good feeling about this.

  19. 'Confident the Imps can get something from this game'published at 13:33 Greenwich Mean Time 16 November 2024

    HT: Exeter 0-0 Lincoln

    Mark Hone
Former Lincoln City defender on BBC Radio Lincolnshire

Some conversations to be had a half-time. Just to see where Conor McGrandles is - is he calm?

But I think that's a solid first half from Lincoln. It's been fairly even; Lincoln have had more chances and Exeter have had more possession.

I'm pretty confident the Imps can get something from this game.

  20. Goals at a premiumpublished at 13:23 Greenwich Mean Time 16 November 2024

    Exeter 0-0 Lincoln

The goalless scoreline half may not have been the biggest surprise to spectators.

No side’s games have seen fewer goals than Exeter in League One this season.

Just the 24 so far this season.

To wheel out a trusty footballing cliche, the first goal looks crucial.
