    Crystal Palace 2-0 Aston Villa

A pause in play as Crystal Palace's goalkeeper Shae Yanez receives a bit of attention.

We're into the final 20 minutes of this relegation clash. Can Aston Villa fight their way back into the game? Thumbs up for yes. Thumbs down for no.

    Crystal Palace 2-0 Aston Villa

Off the bar! Jordan Nobbs tees the ball up to herself from well outside the box and her shot pings off the crossbar.

That's probably the closest Aston Villa have come today but it says a lot that they're resorting to long-range efforts.

    Tottenham 0-0 Brighton

Brighton are targeting the right side of Tottenham's defence with Nikita Parris pulling out there. She's linking with Poppy Pattinson well but still no chances created.

    Crystal Palace 2-0 Aston Villa

Ashleigh Weerden is having a brilliant game on the right. She holds off a defender and picks out a teammate on the edge of the box with a smart cut-back. The shot is easily saved but it's another promising move for Crystal Palace.

If I'm not mistaken, moments later Weerden was back in her own box helping out in defence. She really is everywhere today.

Better from Brighton. Nikita Parris is given the ball on the left and she feeds in a team-mate in the box but Tottenham stand firm.

    Tottenham 0-0 Brighton

Brighton have done well to grow into this game after a lively Tottenham start but the visitors need to start creating some chances.

Brighton seem to have stemmed the Tottenham storm for now but are still struggling to create anything going forward.

Nikita Parris has barely had a touch so far.

Oooooh! Crystal Palace threaten a third!

    Ashleigh Weerden (53 mins)

Who else? Ashleigh Weerden doubles Crystal Palace's lead!

Katie Stengel does brilliantly in the middle of the park to keep hold of the ball before picking out Weerden on the right. She cuts back onto her left foot and lets rip from range.

Sabrina D'Angelo is powerless to stop it and Palace are flying!

Maria Thorisdottir is poorly dispossessed in her own half and Tottenham have now earned themselves a free-kick as Madison Haley is given a talking to.

To say it's been all Spurs is an understatement.

  20. Postpublished at 15:09 Greenwich Mean Time 16 March

    Crystal Palace 1-0 Aston Villa

Something has to change for Aston Villa and quickly.

Goal-scorer Aniek Nouwen has so much freedom to meander forward, taking the ball almost box to box. You wouldn't think Aston Villa were chasing the game given their casual approach to defending.
