We all get hyped up about transfer deadline day and always think what deals are going to happen? They haven't been great in the last few years but today seems the day where it is all coming together.

It's been an incredible window from the start up until today and it will be very interesting to see who is going where.

Disgraceful summer from Fulham, two months to add four needed players: either upgrades or squad players, but Khan waits until final day and now all our deals are on the ropes. He’s lucky his dad is the owner. Lack of ambition and Silva is surely furious.

If we get the Guehi signing it's hard to deny that Liverpool have "won" the window. We've strengthened in so many areas and have so much depth to help us in all competitions. Net spend figure for the players we've got, having sold players too is amazing really.

    Anthony, Liverpool

Afternoon Joe, if Guehi signs for Liverpool they have to be the biggest winner. The squad will look a lot stronger after the two deadline day signings. Biggest loser Man Utd - inexperienced goalkeeper to save the day? I don't think so.

Gutted about Jackson, he deserved more time after two seasons of double digit goals in the Prem.

    No, not those Saints.

Championship Portsmouth have made their second signing of the day with the arrival of St Johnstone striker Makenzie Kirk for an undisclosed fee.

The 21-year-old Northern Ireland Under-21 international scored four goals in seven appearances for the Scottish Championship side this season.

He is the club's second signing on deadline day after goalkeeper Josef Bursik.

Yoane Wissa is the most overpriced transfer of all time. This will be the high-water mark of the Premier League transfer bubble. Bought from Ligue 2, has a year left on his contract. Absolute madness from the Toon.

Man United are up there for worse window. Fact is, signed players for goals and still struggling. Trying to replace two poor keepers with someone who’s not going to be any better. Senne Lammens is unproven and 21-years-old. He’ll get destroyed in the Premier League with the pressure on United’s goalkeeper. I’ll take 16th again this year, same old poor decisions and failing at Man Utd.

I don't understand all the hate towards Steve Parish. Clearly it is frustrating to lose Eze and possibly Guehi, but they aren't in a position to turn down the money being offered! Nowhere near as big as Arsenal or Liverpool respectively. Oliver Glasner must have known how they operate before he joined.

  15. DONE DEAL: Moreira leaves Forest on loanpublished at 17:05 British Summer Time 1 September

Nottingham Forest's Eric da Silva Moreira has completed a loan move to Rio Ave for the rest of the season. Expect Forest to have a busy couple of hours ahead.

So, the latest is that Marc Guehi's proposed move to Liverpool will continue despite Igor Thiago opting for West Ham instead of Crystal Palace.

Oliver Glasner's side are looking at alternative centre backs.

Manuel Akanji to Inter Milan, that is unbelievable business. He wanted Champions League football and Newcastle were crying out for an experienced centre-back. At 30, he should have been in their thoughts.

  19. DONE DEAL: Obafemi leaves Burnley for Bochumpublished at 16:55 British Summer Time 1 September

    Burnley

Burnley striker Michael Obafemi has joined Bundesliga 2 side VfL Bochum on a season-long loan.

The 25-year-old joined the Premier League side in 2023 but has only made 16 appearances.

  20. Martinez looks like stayingpublished at 16:53 British Summer Time 1 September

    Phil McNulty

    Emiliano MartínezImage source, Getty Images

Aston Villa goalkeeper Emi Martinez looked like he would be on the move at the end of last season and the intrigue continued when he was not in the team that lost at home to Crystal Palace on Sunday night amid talk of a move to Manchester United.

It now looks, however, that he will be staying at Villa Park as the deadline draws near. Interest from Manchester United has gone away as they pursue Belgian keeper Senne Lammens, while there are no others close to making a serious move.

If Martinez is to leave Villa, someone is leaving it very late - probably too late.
