Palace's business has been laughable. After our best ever season we’ve decided to sell our two best players at the last minute with no plan for replacements or the future.

    Bradley

Feel really sorry for Glasner. Turned Palace into a force, but has had his side gutted, with perhaps his most important player leaving at the last minute.

The best transfer window? Can I give a shout-out to Blackburn for signing Alan Shearer and Chris Sutton... If there was such a thing as a transfer window back then?!

  4. Akanji heading to Inter Milanpublished at 16:45 British Summer Time 1 September

    Shamoon Hafez
    BBC Sport Manchester City reporter

Serie A side Inter Milan have agreed to take City defender Manuel Akanji on loan for one million euros (£870,000).

The deal includes an option to make the move permanent for 15m euros (£13m) and becomes an obligation if Inter win Serie A.

The 30-year-old Swiss international has not featured for City this season and had interest from Crystal Palace, AC Milan and Galatasaray, but his preference was to move to a club playing in the Champions League.

  6. Centre back Julio in possible loan move to West Hampublished at 16:42 British Summer Time 1 September

It now looks like Brighton centre back Igor Julio is currently more likely to join West Ham on loan rather than Crystal Palace.

He had been subject of interest from the Eagles as they prepare for the departure of Marc Guehi. It is unclear if this would have any impact on that proposed deal.

The Eagles want two centre backs if they let Guehi go.

  8. A twist in the Guehi to Liverpool deal?published at 16:38 British Summer Time 1 September

Are we seeing a twist in the Marc Guehi to Liverpool transfer?

Reports online are that the deal seems to have hit a snag despite the 25-year-old undergoing his Liverpool medical in London.

Palace were in for Brighton defender Igor Julio but West Ham are trying to complete a deal.

There are less than three hours to resolve the issue.

What incentive is there for anyone to manage Crystal Palace while Steve Parish is in charge? Oliver Glasner guides them to their first major trophy and he loses two of his best players late in the transfer window.

    Paul, Dublin

The Palace hierarchy sold Marc Guehi against the manager's wishes, and I think that will come back to haunt them. Oliver Glasner is the most successful manager we've ever had, and if the board blatantly disregard his requests, we could end up losing him as well, which would be even worse!

Sambi Lokonga's four year spell at Arsenal is over as he completes a move to Hamburg.

After the window that Liverpool's had, anything less than winning the Premier League or Champions League should be considered an abject failure.

Let’s not forget that the team with arguably the worst summer transfer window last year ended up wining the league...

Leicester winger Bilal El Khannouss has joined Stuttgart on an initial loan deal.

The 21-year-old's move will become permanent with the Bundesliga club holding an obligation to buy.

El Khannouss cost Leicester £21m from Genk last summer and he made 39 appearances for the Foxes, scoring three times.

Crystal Palace held a strong interest in the Morocco international but with Leicester selling Kasey McAteer to Ipswich and James Justin joining Leeds the Foxes were under no financial pressure to sell.

Portsmouth have signed Club Brugge goalkeeper Josef Bursik for an undisclosed fee on a two-year deal.

He spent last season on loan with Scottish Premiership side Hibernian and made 17 appearances in all competitions for them.

I'm a big Newcastle fan here. I'm actually quite happy to see Alexander Isak go because of what it does to help the team, this whole saga has disrupted the team and has shaken them, and a figure like that who doesn't want to play really has to go, in my opinion.

  18. DONE DEAL: West Brom complete loan deal for Villa's Iling-Juniorpublished at 16:19 British Summer Time 1 September

    Samuel Iling-JuniorImage source, Getty Images

West Brom have signed Aston Villa winger Samuel Iling-Junior on a season-long loan.

The 21-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Albion's Championship rivals Middlesbrough after spending the first four months of the campaign in Serie A with Bologna where he featured in the Champions League.

He was also part of the England Under-21 squad which won the European Championships this summer.

“The interest has been there since the start of the window. That’s something that you think about as a player, the fact that teams want you and they’re really keen on you." Iling-Junior told the club website.

  19. DONE DEAL: Emerson makes Marseille switchpublished at 16:16 British Summer Time 1 September

    We have another done deal!

This time it's West Ham left-back Emerson who has made the switch to Ligue 1 side Marseille in a permanent deal.

The Italian spent three years at the Hammers and played 113 times.

I would rather have kept Marc Guehi and lost him for free, as his value was far more than financial. Losing him on deadline day with no apparent replacement in place is unacceptable. Palace have known for months that the squad needed reinforcements, and as usual they've left it too late.

    Jonathon, Dorset

Allowing Marc Guehi to leave on deadline day is effectively waving goodbye to Oliver Glasner too. Palace's chairman, Steve Parish, might have achieved a short-term gain, but the effect on the club will be hugely negative in the long-term.
