Young Aston Villa defender Triston Rowe is attracting EFL interest but the club are currently unlikely to let him leave.

The 18-year-old right-back is yet to make a senior appearance for Villa but has made the bench for their Premier League defeats against Brentford and Crystal Palace this season.

Rowe, an England Under-19 international, helped Villa win a domestic treble last season - winning the FA Youth Cup and the Under-18 Premier League South title before beating Manchester City in the National final.

At first glance you would think that Liverpool have dominated but you look at the likes of Tottenham who have signed some good players. Also the fact that Liverpool have spent a BOMB to be where they are.

    Cody, London

All the "won the transfer window" talk is probably going to focus on Liverpool, but I'd like to nominate Spurs for having a quietly brilliant window - and a most unexpected surprise given Levy's previous track record!

RB Leipzig have made an approach to sign Chelsea attacker Tyrique George.

It's only early dialogue and involved multiple moving parts but George has long been a target for Leipzig and was already subject to negotiations between the two clubs earlier in the transfer window.

The 19-year-old is valued at about £25m by Chelsea.

Interestingly, the approach comes amid renewed doubts in Leipzig deal to sign Conrad Harder from Sporting.

    Afternoon, Dan!

Bonkers, yes. But we've still not beaten Peter Odemwingie driving to QPR in 2013 despite West Brom having no intention of selling him.

Wonder which present Premier League player would be most likely to pull a similar stunt...

We believe that Alexander Isak has now left Liverpool's training ground - a blacked-out vehicle believed to be carrying him departed through the main gates a short while ago.

The centre forward spent around three hours inside as the final formalities of the deal - contract signing, photography session etc - were likely wrapped up.

After completing his record-breaking move, Isak will travel to Sweden to join up with his national team ahead of their upcoming World Cup qualifiers.

  14. Man Utd's goalkeeping conundrumpublished at 14:03 British Summer Time 1 September

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport Chief Football News Reporter

I am not convinced Manchester United's goalkeeping situation is quite sorted out just yet.

While United sources have previously said it was not inconceivable they could add a fourth experienced keeper to Ruben Amorim's squad with no-one leaving, it doesn't fit with the head coach's stated desire to have a small squad.

Yes, Andre Onana may leave for the Africa Cup of Nations but that is just for a matter of weeks - and if he isn't playing, how realistic is it the former Inter Milan man gets picked anyway?

Altay Bayindir has played in all three Premier League games this season but hasn't convinced.

Tom Heaton signed a new contract in the summer and is very much viewed as a back-up.

No-one knows at this stage who will be in goal for United's trip to City for the first Manchester derby of the season on 14 September.

  15. Happy with your transfer window, Man Utd fans?published at 14:01 British Summer Time 1 September

    Manchester United

Talking about supporters being happy with their team's transfer activity, how would Manchester United fans rate the club's window?

It looks like young Belgian goalkeeper Senne Lammens is heading to Old Trafford.

He would become United's fifth summer signing, after their trio of attackers - Benjamin Sesko, Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha, and left-back Diego Leon.

United fans - thumbs up if you are happy, thumbs down if you are not.

Get Involved - Lammens' 'young' and 'inexperienced'published at 13:58 British Summer Time 1 September

Opting to buy Lammens instead of Martinez is utter madness from United. Martinez is an experienced and proven Premier League GK whereas Lammens is young and inexperienced in the Premier League. Looks like it's going to be another long season for United with only the FA Cup to contend for.

    Kash

Lammens is likely to go through the same struggles De Gea did when he first joined. The difference is DDG was in a team challenging for the title. I’m sorry but what Utd needed was experience and someone who gives the defence confidence.

  17. A positive end to difficult summer for Spurs?published at 13:51 British Summer Time 1 September

We should probably say at this point that we are still waiting on official confirmation from both clubs that Tottenham's loan move for Randal Kolo Muani has gone through.

However, assuming it does, Kolo Muani will be Spurs' fourth senior signing of the summer, following Mohammed Kudus, Joao Palhinha and Xavi Simons.

Along with wingers Kudus and Simons, centre-forward Kolo Muani could help form a new-look strikeforce for Spurs as they prepare for a Champions League return.

The signings come at the end of a window which has been difficult at times for Tottenham, with failed moves for targets including Nottingham Forest midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White, and Crystal Palace's Eberechi Eze - who joined Arsenal instead.

They are also looking to sign a central defender before today's 19:00 BST deadline, with interest in Manchester City's Manuel Akanji after a move for Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi failed.

  18. More on Spurs loan deal for PSG's Kolo Muanipublished at 13:46 British Summer Time 1 September

Talking about pleasantly surprised supporters, Tottenham fans have reacted with joy at the news that their club has agreed a season-long loan deal for Paris St-Germain striker Randal Kolo Muani.

The 26-year-old has been linked with Premier League clubs for several months, with interest from Spurs, Manchester United, Chelsea and West Ham.

He is set to move to Tottenham on transfer deadline day after personal terms were agreed with Thomas Frank's side.

Kolo Muani spent last season on loan at Juventus, scoring eight goals in 16 Serie A games.

The former Nantes and Eintracht Frankfurt forward joined PSG in September 2023 and has won two Ligue 1 titles.

Kolo Muani also has 31 senior caps for France, scoring in the 2022 World Cup semi-final victory over Morocco and playing in the final defeat by Argentina.
