Liverpool are responsible for the three most expensive signings of this transfer window with Alexander Isak costing a British record £125m, Florian Wirtz an initial £100m and Hugo Ekitike £69m prior to future fees.

Arne Slot’s commitment to strengthening his title-winning side has led them to a £416.2m outlay so far this summer – a Premier League record total for a single transfer window.

That figure could yet climb further if a deal for Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi is agreed at some point today.

We've quietened down in the last hour and my keyboard is extremely grateful.

Despite all the relentless breaking news, we have only seen one incoming confirmed in the Premier League.

Bournemouth have announced the loan signing of Alex Jimenez from AC Milan.

Meanwhile Brighton's Tariq Lamptey has joined Fiorentina for an undisclosed fee.

Jorgen Strand Larsen has conducted himself impeccably. As a Wolves fan I really hope he stays but if he doesn't I wish him all the best. Fosu are between a rock and hard place but they need to keep him and get more cover.

With rumours of a Solanke long-term injury and Richarlison clearly unable to lead the line on his own, I ask myself why Tottenham haven’t yet shown any interest in Jørgen Strand Larsen? Surely there’s a deal that can be done for another wantaway striker…

I’ll be disappointed if we (Liverpool) don’t get Guehi as he’s one of the best defenders in the league but at the same time I don’t want to see Palace have their team ripped apart and lose their captain after winning their first ever major trophy. It feels wrong.

BBC Sport's Ask Me Anything team has been answering some of the key questions around the transfer window...

What is a transfer deal sheet?

Premier League clubs need to complete a 'deal sheet' in order to complete a transfer in the last two hours of a transfer window.

Clubs often leave their transfer dealings to the very last minute, and therefore have to submit a form to the Premier League to make sure that a transfer can go ahead.

The deal sheet allows a club to confirm that an agreement has been reached and also give themselves more time to submit the remaining documentation.

The deal sheet cannot be used before 17:00 BST and needs to be filled in before the transfer window closes.

Once the deal sheet arrives with the Premier League, the clubs have an additional two hours, or until 21:00 BST to submit all the required paperwork.

If all the necessary paperwork has still not been submitted after the 21:00 BST deadline has passed, the transfer will not be able to proceed.

It was an interesting team sheet at Wolves Under-21s' game with Blackburn on Friday night, just one example of what clubs can do to signal player availability,

Wolves made the decision to make it clear to any scouts present who was available for loan, without them having to ask the question.

The team sheet was also circulated to EFL clubs so they were aware just who could be allowed out on loan ahead of tonight's deadline.

Wolves wanted to save time and speed up the process - saving clubs and scouts picking up the phone to ask - for their youngsters, who went on to beat Blackburn 3-1 in Premier League 2.

They have been keen to send right-back Pedro Lima out on loan, having beaten Chelsea to his signature last summer.

Manchester United have agreed a deal to sign goalkeeper Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp for 21m euros (£18.1m) plus add-ons.

The deal includes no sell-on fee and Lammens will join on a five-year contract.

The player is now travelling to Manchester, where he will have a medical before the deal is completed.

This means Manchester United will NOT be pursuing their interest in Emiliano Martinez.

United sources say they considered other options and retain respect for them. However, they view Lammens as an exciting young goalkeeper with a bright future and feel this is the right choice.

Anyone who cannot remember back to 1992 and the start of the Premier League, may be surprised to learn of the impact that Alan Shearer's £3.6m move from Southampton to Blackburn had at the time.

Sir Jack Walker's bold move sent shockwaves through the English top flight and heralded a new era of big-money moves.

Fast forward 30+ years and those early figures are now dwarfed - £125m rather than £3m will now be the new benchmark for eye-watering deals...

  16. What is the record British transfer?published at 11:57 British Summer Time 1 September

    Five most expensive British transfers

It depends how you quantify success Kevin.

Liverpool's £125m signing of Alexander Isak will surpass Chelsea's £107m addition of Argentine midfielder Enzo Fernandez, which remains the British transfer record.

There is then a four-way tie on £100m - with three having potential add-ons.

The Reds' summer signing of Florian Wirtz could end up being the biggest of those, with £16m in add-ons, while Chelsea's swoop for Moises Caicedo could reach £115m.

Declan Rice moved from West Ham to Arsenal for a fee which could reach £105m, while Jack Grealish's move from Aston Villa to Manchester City in 2021 was for a flat £100m.

Well Roj, Fulham are working on signing two wingers in Shakhtar Donetsk's Kevin and AC Milan's Samuel Chukwueze before the transfer deadline.

The Cottagers agreed a club-record £34m fee for Kevin on Sunday and the 22-year-old is expected to sign a five-year deal today.

However, talks for Chukwueze are yet to be finalised but continue to progress an advanced stage.

It leaves open the possibility that Fulham won't move for any of their previous wide targets which included Arsenal's Reiss Nelson, Chelsea's Raheem Sterling and FC Basel's Philip Otele.

Although there are reports a move for Sterling may be back on the cards.
