Crystal Palace have turned their attentions to Brighton centre-back Igor Julio in their search for a potential Marc Guehi replacement.

Palace are set to confirm the signing of Toulouse teenage centre-back Jaydee Canvot but are after a second defender in order to let Guehi leave for Liverpool.

Julio is emerging as a target for Palace and talks are understood to be underway ahead of tonight’s deadline.

Brighton are weighing up loan options for defender Igor Julio to move within the Premier League.

Both West Ham and Crystal Palace are reportedly interested in the Brazilian central defender who can also play at left-back.

Italian club Como also expressed an interest in a permanent deal but have instead signed former Aston Villa defender Diego Carlos.

Igor has also struggled to establish himself on the south coast and made only 16 appearances last season under manager Fabian Hurzeler due to a mixture of injury and being left on the bench.

Ederson has not played a competitive game for Manchester City since their 4-3 defeat to Al-Hilal in the last 16 of the Club World Cup in July.

The Brazil international has been replaced in the starting line-up by summer signing James Trafford for City's opening three Premier League games.

Trafford has conceded four goals in back-to-back defeats to Tottenham and Brighton following an opening-day 4-0 win at Wolves.

I think there is a very good chance of it now [Gianluigi Donnarumma moving to the Premier League].

Manchester City are willing to let Ederson leave but only if Donnarumma joins.

Paris St-Germain, who Donnarumma plays for but is now surplus to requirements despite having a year left on his contract, fully expect Donnarumma to move to Manchester City today.

If that happens then Ederson will be allowed to join Fenerbahce in a proposed deal worth around 14m euros (£12.1m).

None of this is guaranteed yet, it's all in flux. Donnarumma would need to agree personal terms with Manchester City, which is easier said than done because he earns a very high salary, but a solution was always expected to be found if the clubs reached an agreement and it appears to me that we are edging towards that now.

Chelsea have had one of the busier transfer windows this summer, and another player looks to be leaving today as Cardiff City are in talks to sign attacking midfielder Omari Kellyman on a season-long loan deal.

The 19-year-old is nearing his return to playing having had corrective surgery on persistent hamstring issues in late March and is willing to drop to League One level to kick-start his career.

Kellyman has been limited to just four appearances in the Under-21s since joining Chelsea in a £19m deal from Aston Villa in 2024. He has also yet to play a single minute of first-team football at Stamford Bridge.

However, he feels League One leaders Cardiff will be a good platform.

The Bluebirds, relegated from the Championship last season, are unbeaten under new head coach Brian Barry-Murphy, who is hoping to make at least two signings on transfer deadline day.

Cardiff have so far only made two additions this summer - goalkeeper Nathan Trott and defender Gabriel Osho - and are looking to strengthen in midfield and defence.

We have our first signing in League One on deadline day!

Leyton Orient have signed striker Dom Ballard from Southampton on a permanent deal for an undisclosed fee.

The 20-year-old spent last season on loan at Blackpool and Cambridge United and has signed a three-year contract, with an option of a further year, at Brisbane Road.

Bristol City have completed the signing of defender Neto Borges on a season-long loan from Championship rivals Middlesbrough.

The 28-year-old made 35 appearances for Boro last season and has featured three times as a substitute for the Championship leaders this term.

Benfica midfielder Florentino Luis is due to have a medical at Burnley today to complete what could be a club record move.

The 26-year-old joins initially on loan for a £1.73m fee but there is a conditional obligation to buy worth £20.8m should the move be made permanent.

Manager Scott Parker has secured a major coup in what is expected to be Burnley's last incoming transfer and it could eventually become a club record fee.

The club continues to work on outgoings during this busy deadline day in the Premier League.

Wolves have agreed a £24m deal for Genk striker Tolu Arokodare.

The 24-year-old scored 21 times last season, the Jupiler League's joint-top scorer as the Belgian side finished third.

Arokodare will add attacking support to Jorgen Strand Larsen, with Wolves looking to keep the Norway forward at Molineux, having rejected two bids of £50m and £55m, from Newcastle.

Boss Vitor Pereira had always wanted another forward to aid Strand Larsen and Arokodare is not seen as a replacement.

The Nigerian international has scored 41 goals in 113 appearances for Genk after joining from Latvian side Valmiera in 2023.
