So Guehi for £10m in January doesn't sound too bad - we can cope with Van Dijk, Konate, Gomez and Leoni until then. All good.
Steve, Italy
Guehi hasn’t lost out, his value will drop as he’s out of contract next year, so he’ll negotiate an even bigger signing on fee from whichever club he goes to.

Bad behaviours should not be rewarded! Football has lost its way! Guehi, acts completely professionally & denied his move. Wissa and Isak demonstrate unprofessional behaviours, and rewarded. Shocking!

Birmingham are working on a deal to sign Sheffield United club captain Jack Robinson.
The defender has been at Bramall Lane since 2020 after joining from Nottingham Forest but Birmingham are looking to beat the clock to bring him to St Andrew's.
Robinson, who celebrates his 32nd birthday today, started his career at Liverpool and also spent four years at QPR.

Randal Kolo Muani was not wanted in Paris last season and moved to Juventus in January for a six-month loan. He started well then the second half of the loan was not as good.
Clearly Spurs were keen and managed to agree a deal with PSG. He's a good player but it did not work out at PSG. He's a good forward that can play wide, play centrally, can play as a second striker. He will run a lot. He will do anything that Thomas Frank asks him to do.
Sometimes technically he's not at the level you would expect of his calibre or the clubs he's played for but for the rest he's good. He's a good finisher so Spurs are getting a good striker, not one of the best in the world, but one who will help them.

Does Donnarumma to Man City confirm a change of approach from Pep this season? Less reliance on a technical goalkeeper who's good with his feet and more focus on having a fantastic shot stopper instead.

I think if Martinez does stay he just slots back in, plays a number one and we reconvene in January,
He is some goalkeeper, he makes massive saves and he would have been a good signing for Manchester United.
But now I think Villa just take him back in, he plays the next game and they get on with it.
Villa left goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez out of the team who lost 3-0 to Crystal Palace yesterday.
That was because Manchester United were interested in signing the Argentine, but the Red Devils went elsewhere for a keeper.
When asked about Martinez's situation by Sky Sports before kick-off, the Villa boss simply answered "Marco Bizot" to each question - a reference to the goalkeeper who did play.

Emiliano Martinez is a rascal on the pitch. It is all down to how he behaves going forward. If the toys come out the pram or he comes out with any statements on social media or in the press then the the fans are going to jump on that.
Youssef Chermiti has left Everton and joined Rangers for a fee that could be worth up to £10m.
The Portugal youth international spent two years with the Toffees, where he made 24 appearances.
