Aston Villa have won three of their last four Premier League games against Fulham (L1), as many as they had in their previous 13 against them (D5 L5).
Fulham have won just one of their 19 away league games against Aston Villa (D7 L11), losing their last four visits since a 2-1 victory in April 2014.
Aston Villa have won each of their last 12 Premier League home games, their longest top-flight winning run at Villa Park since October 1983 (13). The Villans are looking to win each of their opening six home matches of a top-flight campaign for the first time since 1932-33 (first 8).
Fulham have lost 12 of their last 14 Premier League games against sides starting the day in the top-six of the table (W1 D1). Away from home, they have only won five out of 85 such matches in their Premier League history (D22 L58).
Aston Villa have won their last five Premier League matches against sides from London, beating Fulham, Spurs, Crystal Palace, Chelsea and West Ham United in this run. The Villans have never won six in a row against London teams in their league history.
Since losing consecutive home Premier League games in February (both 4-2 to Leicester and Arsenal), Aston Villa are unbeaten in all 19 Premier League matches when they have taken the lead (W17 D2), not dropping a single point so far this season when going ahead (W7).
Since beating Everton in their opening game of this season’s Premier League, Fulham haven’t registered a win against a team who wasn’t newly promoted to the division (P8 D3 L5). Of their last seven wins in the competition, three were against the teams relegated last season (Leeds, Leicester, Southampton), two against promoted teams (Luton, Sheffield United) and the other two were against Everton.
Fulham’s Andreas Pereira created six chances in their 1-0 defeat to Manchester United on MD11. Since the start of last season, it was the third time he’d created 6+ chances in a Premier League game, with only Bruno Fernandes (6) and Pascal Groß (4) doing so in more games in that time.
Aston Villa central defender Pau Torres has progressed the ball further upfield than any other Premier League player this season (2,202 metres). It is also 1,304 metres further than any other Villa player (Ezri Konsa, 898m).
Douglas Luiz has been involved in a goal in each of his last seven Premier League appearances at Villa Park (seven goals, one assist). It’s the longest run ever by an Aston Villa player on home soil in the competition, while the only South American player with a goal or assist in eight Premier League home games in a row is Luis Suárez for Liverpool from April 2013 to January 2014.
