  1. CLOSE!published at 16:42 British Summer Time 7 September

    Charlton 0-1 Rotherham

Chuks Aneke and Tyrese Campbell were introduced off the Addicks bench by Nathan Jones after that Millers opener, and the pair really should have combined to level this game.

Campbell did superbly near the left touchline to stand a cross up to the far post where Aneke was unmarked with a free header, only to plant his effort the wrong side of the upright from a Charlton perspective.

He can only have been two yards out...

  2. Postpublished at 16:40 British Summer Time 7 September

    Barnsley 2-1 Bristol Rovers

    James Wilson take a bow.

The Rovers defender produces a vital sliding challenge to deny Davis Keillor-Dunn a second goal on his debut after Sam Cosgrave's flick sent him running through into the box.

  3. Postpublished at 16:38 British Summer Time 7 September

    MK Dons 1-0 Walsall

Dons keeper Tom McGill gets called into action as he's forced to palm out a powerful strike. Walsall get themselves a corner.

What do the Saddlers do with it? Not enough.

The injuries have made it hard for either side to gain momentum as MK Dons keep the ball at their feet. Hard to see how Walsall are going to get themselves back in this.

    Barnsley 2-1 Bristol Rovers

    Nathan Ellington
Ex-Bristol Rovers striker on BBC Radio Bristol

It is a bit alarming to see how free they [Barnsley] are between the defenders.

You don't want that to happen too much longer or more goals are going to come.

David McGoldrick celebrates scoring for Notts CountyImage source, Rex Features

Andy is Cook-ing at Valley Parade! The Bradford striker has struck a brace to restore his team's lead against Carlisle.

Another double at Meadow Lane, where David McGoldrick has scored again to put Notts County 2-0 up at home to Accrington.

Substitute Owura Edwards has got Colchester back on level terms at home to Bromley.

Away from the goals, there have been a few early baths this afternoon.

Both Barrow and Swindon have had a man sent off in their game at Holker Street, 'keeper Paul Farman for the hosts and forward Harry Smith for the away side.

Darren Oldaker has received his marching orders for Chesterfield, who still lead 2-1 at home to Grimsby, while it has gone from bad to worse for Newport. 4-1 down and two men down at home to Port Vale.

Ciaran Brennan and Kyle Jameson both seeing red.

  6. Postpublished at 16:35 British Summer Time 7 September

    Wrexham 3-0 Shrewsbury

Paul Mullin is off the bench for Wrexham, with Jack Marriott making way.

Phil Parkinson has also withdrawn Oli Rathbone after his first league start and Ollie Palmer, who scored the first goal.

  7. Postpublished at 16:31 British Summer Time 7 September

    MK Dons 1-0 Walsall

    Simon Oxley
    BBC Three Counties Radio commentator

I dare say we will have six or seven minutes of stoppage time with more substitutions to go and hopefully no more injuries.

It seems we've had more time with injuries and substitutions than game time here.

Let's have another break here, why not.

  8. Postpublished at 16:29 British Summer Time 7 September

    Charlton 0-1 Rotherham

    Rob Staton
    BBC Radio Sheffield

669 days since the last away win, is this going to be the goal that ends it?

What a goal if it is... worth waiting nearly 670 days for, if it is.

    Adam Phillips (65 mins)

Adam Phillips scores for BarnsleyImage source, Rex Features

Now then. The hosts are back ahead. This one is ebbing and flowing nicely.

Adam Phillips times his run perfectly to meet Barry Cotter's cross from the right flank with a powerful header which beats Josh Griffiths into the roof of the net from close range.

Can the Tykes hold on to a lead at home to end this winless streak at eight matches?

If so they'll have to do it without Phillips, who is limping off after the goal.

  10. goal

GOAL: Charlton 0-1 Rotherhampublished at 16:27 British Summer Time 7 September

    Liam Kelly (58 mins)

Historic. February 24, 2024, was the last time Rotherham scored away in a league match. Nine games ago.

Liam Kelly picks the ball up, drives forward and fizzes a swirling low drive from 25 yards which beats Will Mannion into the bottom corner to send the travelling fans wild.

  11. GREAT SAVE!published at 16:27 British Summer Time 7 September

    Barnsley 1-1 Bristol Rovers

    End-to-end fare at Oakwell.

Barnsley's Luca Connell drifts into space before picking up the ball 20 yards out and unleashing an Exocet towards the top corner which Rovers keeper Josh Griffiths does well to turn around the angle of post and bar.

Can't see this one finishing 1-1, to be honest...

  12. Postpublished at 16:26 British Summer Time 7 September

    Barnsley 1-1 Bristol Rovers

    Sanny Rudravajhala
BBC Radio 5 Live at Oakwell

The mood is turning here at Oakwell. Bristol Rovers have started the second half brightly and the cries of frustration are getting louder.

Barnsley wasted so many chances in the first half and that’s hanging over the home support at the moment.

Sam Cosgrove has just gone down in the box with the referee giving the decision the other way, the man in black is currently receiving their ire.

  13. Postpublished at 16:26 British Summer Time 7 September

    Crewe Alexandra 1-0 Morecambe

Kane Hemmings is on the hunt for the second.

He misleads the Morecambe defence with a fake-out before striking with his left-foot but, alas, it goes wide.

The shrimps let out a sigh of relief.

  14. Postpublished at 16:25 British Summer Time 7 September

    MK Dons 1-0 Walsall

    Richard Wilford
    BBC Radio WM commentator

From a Saddlers point of view they wont be disappointed to see Aaron Nemane come off.

He's a fantastic League Two player.

  15. GREAT SAVE!published at 16:25 British Summer Time 7 September

    Barnsley 1-1 Bristol Rovers

Barnsley keeper Gabriel Slonina has redeemed himself somewhat with an instinctive reaction save from close range to prevent Rovers from turning the game on its head.

Sub Corey O'Keeffe gets his headed clearance all wrong and can only send the ball back into the danger area where Promise Omochere is four yards out but sees his downward header blocked by the star-fishing Slonina.

Prime Schmeichel would have been proud of that flexibility.

Can the Tykes turn the tide?

  16. Postpublished at 16:24 British Summer Time 7 September

    Barnsley 1-1 Bristol Rovers

    Nathan Ellington
Ex-Bristol Rovers striker on BBC Radio Bristol

It's anyone's game at the moment, it's looking really even now.

  17. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:20 British Summer Time 7 September

    Doncaster 1-0 Gillingham

First substitution of the day for the Rovers and it's goalscorer Billy Sharp who makes way for Joe Ironside.

Ironside was linked to a move to League One side Wrexham earlier this season but I think it's safe to say they aren't lacking any goal threat over in Wales...

  18. League Two Updatepublished at 16:19 British Summer Time 7 September

    #bbcefl

Port Vale had won just two of their last 14 EFL away games before today but they are well on the way to turning that trend around. Ethan Chislett and Lorent Tolaj have added a third AND fourth for the Valiants at Newport.

Meanwhile, it is game back on at Chesterfield. Grimsby forward Charles Vernam has halved the deficit for Dave Artell's side.

Harrison Neal has put manager-less Carlisle back on level terms at Bradford.

  19. goal

GOAL: Wrexham 3-0 Shrewsburypublished at 16:17 British Summer Time 7 September

    Jack Marriott (59 mins)

Wrexham celebrate Jack Marriott's goalImage source, Rex Features

    Not again! Sorry Shrews fans.

Jack Marriott does indeed have his third goal of the season and it's a bit of a horror show for the visitors as Toby Savin races out of his area after Aristote Nsiala hacked a clearance into the sky.

Marriott beat the keeper to the ball and slotted low past the dive of Mal Benning to surely seal this one.

  20. GREAT SAVE!published at 16:17 British Summer Time 7 September

    Wrexham 2-0 Shrewsbury

If you remember, shortly before the unfortunate commentator's curse on 41 minutes, Shrewsbury were pushing for an equaliser at the Stok Racecourse.

Well they are on the hunt for a goal back now and Malvind Benning has seen a free-kick tipped over by the fingertips of Arthur Okonkwo.
