    Crewe Alexandra 0-0 Morecambe

Crewe are beginning to put some pressure on Morecambe but the Shrimps are holding on.

Defender Ryan Cooney plays a one-two as he cuts into the box but the ball doesn't co-operate how he'd like and Morecambe's Ryan Williams comes to the rescue.

The Shrimps get a chance themselves as Jordan Slew puts in a big strike but it's blocked just to fall perfectly for Alex goalkeeper Filip Marschall to collect.

  2. goal

GOAL: Barnsley 1-1 Bristol Roverspublished at 15:43 British Summer Time 7 September 2024

    Ruel Sotiriou (37 mins)

Another Tykes lead goes begging at Oakwell and it's a calamitous goal as a long clearance from the Rovers keeper is nodded into the Tykes box and keeper Gabriel Slonina gets in a terrible mix-up with his defender, allowing Ruel Sotiriou to nip in and slot into an unguarded net.

There had been a warning of miscommunication involving Slonina a few minutes before. Darrell Clarke will be furious to see his side give up another home lead so easily.

  3. goal

GOAL: Wrexham 2-0 Shrewsburypublished at 15:42 British Summer Time 7 September 2024

    Elliott Lee (42 mins)

    ... or maybe not.

Wrexham break down the right and Ryan Barnett drives inside across the area before laying the ball off to the lurking Elliott Lee 20 yards out. He bends a low first-time shot through a crowd and low to Toby Savin's left.

It was just the Red Dragons' second shot on target.

With Wrexham's newfound defensive solidity, this is a huge mountain for Shrewsbury to overcome.

    Wrexham 1-0 Shrewsbury

The increasingly influential Leo Castledine of Shrewsbury has seen a low cross shot from the right deflected across the face of goal and past Arthur Okonkwo's far post.

The visitors can't make the most of the corner, however.

If you thought this game was over after 15 minutes, maybe you were too hasty.

Rodney Parade the place for goals this afternoon! And Jayden Stockley the man to get them. The Port Vale striker has doubled his tally in Wales and restored his side's lead, 2-1 in that one.

The wheels are in motion at Barrow, Gerard Garner has scored a stunner to give them a 1-0 lead vs Swindon.

  6. CLOSE!published at 15:39 British Summer Time 7 September 2024

    Wrexham 1-0 Shrewsbury

Another glimpse of goal for Leo Castledine but his header from a cross from Malvind Benning is claimed by Wrexham keeper Arthur Okonkwo.

At the other end Ollie Palmer spurned the chance of a second from another inviting low cross from the left from James McClean but saw his effort blocked with the goal at his mercy.

League Two is coming alive nicely!

Port Vale's lead at Newport did not last long, Aaron Wildig has equalised for the hosts at Rodney Parade.

A third goal in two games for David McGoldrick has given Notts County the lead against leaky Accrington, and a Michael Cheek penalty has put Bromley in front away at Colchester in Essex.

James Berry-McNally's fourth goal of the campaign has given Chesterfield a 1-0 lead at home to Grimsby.

    MK Dons 1-0 Walsall

    Simon Oxley
    BBC Three Counties Radio commentator

Dons haven't pushed having taken the lead, Walsall have not hit back.

They nearly did straight away, but it's back to the same pattern as the first 10-15 minutes.

  9. goal

GOAL: Doncaster 1-0 Gillinghampublished at 15:31 British Summer Time 7 September 2024

    Billy Sharp (30 mins)

Gillingham's unbeaten run faces it's first threat of the day and it's from... Billy Sharp!

Doncaster's Luke Molyneux puts in a cross but it only finds the back post. Jordan Gibson is alive to it, heads it down into the feet of an awaiting Sharp, who fires in on the turn.

It was a slow start for both teams but Doncaster are growing into this game.

  10. Postpublished at 15:29 British Summer Time 7 September 2024

    Wrexham 1-0 Shrewsbury

Rare sight of goal for the Shrews, who are looking to avoid a seventh straight away game without a win.

Leo Castledine lines up a free-kick but can only blast into the Red Dragons wall.

  11. CLOSE!published at 15:28 British Summer Time 7 September 2024

    MK Dons 1-0 Walsall

The Saddlers didn't let MK Dons enjoy their moment for long.

Midfielder Jack Earing eyed up his own back-post glory moment but Dons goalkeeper Tom McGill was wise to it. A great save to stave off the equaliser.

The Dons respond on the counter-attack but Alex Gilbey can only find Sam Hornby's gloves.

    End to end stuff now.

It's a third big chance for Barnsley already.

It's time for Bristol Rovers to get control of the game.

  13. CLOSE!published at 15:23 British Summer Time 7 September 2024

    Charlton 0-0 Rotherham

Gassan Ahadme has his head in his hands.

Charlton send a long throw into the Millers area and the visitors can't clear their lines, the ball drops to Ahadme but he can only blaze well over the bar from only eight yards out and the goal at his mercy.

  14. goal

GOAL: MK Dons 1-0 Walsallpublished at 15:19 British Summer Time 7 September 2024

    Callum Hendry (18 mins)

MK Dons have been hogging that ball since kick-off and it's paid off.

Liam Kelly makes the run up the pitch to find Callum Hendry awaiting at the back post. He puts it in the net, cool as you like.

The Dons haven't had many issues with possession so far this season but finding the goal has been the challenge. Could this be the turning point?

It's been coming... and it's a debut goal from Davis Keillor-Dunn.

The forward latches on to a sublime flick from Luca Connell before striding into the area and slotting low past Josh Griffiths. What a way to introduce yourself to your new fans.

Just the third goal Rovers have conceded this season.

  16. goal

GOAL: Wrexham 1-0 Shrewsburypublished at 15:16 British Summer Time 7 September 2024

    Ollie Palmer (15 mins)

Some lovely approach play from Wrexham and the hosts have a lead they deserve.

After some neat build-up play James McClean's low cross from the left is swept home at the far post by the unmarked Ollie Palmer.

Two in two at home for Palmer and Wrexham are in sight of a seventh home win in a row.

  18. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:14 British Summer Time 7 September 2024

    Barnsley 0-0 Bristol Rovers

Bright start from Barnsley after that brief delay, you'd never know they are winless in eight at home.

Barry Cotter picks the ball up on the edge of the Rovers box and fires in a rasping shot low across goal which keeper Josh Griffiths does well to beat away.

Griffiths then needed to produce another save from Cotter moments later after a lightning break from the Tykes saw a long diagonal nodded into his path.

    Breathless stuff at Oakwell.

  19. YELLOW CARDpublished at 15:13 British Summer Time 7 September 2024

    Crewe Alexandra 0-0 Morecambe

    The cards are out.

Alex winger Shilow Tracey is the recipeint for a foul on Callum Jones.

It's a steady start from both teams with no real attacks thus far.

  20. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 15:10 British Summer Time 7 September 2024

    Wrexham 0-0 Shrewsbury

Close to an opener for the home side as a corner is cleared only as far as James McClean who fires in a powerful curling effort which cannons back off the Shrews crossbar.
