  4. 'Spurs fans should be very excited about Tel'published at 22:31 Greenwich Mean Time 3 February

    Julien Laurens
European football expert on The Football News Show: Deadline Day Special

Spurs fans should be very excited about Mathys Tel because he is a wonderful talent. He is one of the most highly rated players of his generation, only 19, so still very young, but a big, big talent. He has pace, technical skill, can play as a striker or second striker, he can also play wider, he has that versatility in him.

  5. Birmingham sign South Korea internationalpublished at 22:29 Greenwich Mean Time 3 February

League One leaders Birmingham City have signed South Korea left-back Lee Myung-jae on a deal until the end of the season, subject to international clearance.

The 31-year-old, who has won seven caps, had been at Korean K-League side Ulsan HD.

That takes the total of signings made by Blues boss Chris Davies to 20 - after 17 in the August transfer window, including record third-tier signing Jay Stansfield for an eight-figure fee.

  6. 'Man Utd want to get the right people in'published at 22:26 Greenwich Mean Time 3 February

Manchester United let Marcus Rashford go yesterday. That is a huge wage off their books for the rest of the season. The same as Antony and that created the headroom for Patrick Dorgu to come in.

If they wanted to sign players, they would have had to sell someone like Alejandro Garnacho or Kobbie Mainoo.

After years of misspending or overspending, they want to get the right people in. Whether that means they wait for the summer then so be it.

  7. Palace's Holding joins Sheff Utd on loanpublished at 22:24 Greenwich Mean Time 3 February

Rob Holding has joined Sheffield United on loan from Crystal Palace for the rest of the season.

The 29-year-old joined the Eagles in September 2023 from Arsenal.

The Blades sit second in the Championship, two points off top spot.

It would in some ways count as Willian's third spell at Fulham.

He joined the club in 2022 but actually left at the end of his deal the following summer. He had looked set to join Nottingham Forest - before signing a new deal with Fulham three weeks after the old one expired.

He then departed for Olympiakos last summer - but left the Greek club after six months.

As he is a free agent he doesn't have to get the deal done before 23:00 GMT.

Willian is set to re-join Fulham with a formal announcement coming tomorrow.

The Cottagers are confident they have completed the deal while sources close to the player have described a full agreement as close.

Of course, it might simply be logistics as the winger was watching his former club Chelsea beat West Ham 2-1 at Stamford Bridge tonight.

Nico Gonzalez isn't playing in that game by the way.

FC Porto are playing tonight. They are currently level with Rio Ave halfway through the second half.

Don't expect anything on Nico Gonzalez to Manchester City before that game finishes.

Tottenham Hotspur have agreed a deal to sign France Under-21s forward Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich.

The structure of the transfer is yet to be confirmed - and it is unclear if it will be a permanent or loan deal.

The 19-year-old reportedly rejected Spurs earlier this month but is now expected to move to north London.

Tel has made 83 appearances for Bayern since joining from French club Rennes in 2022, scoring 16 goals and providing seven assists.

    Nizaar Kinsella

The Tel deal is massive for Tottenham. They needed bodies and they have got their forward.

They have got the forward they needed but did they need a defender? That will be the question.

  15. 'Man City have struggled to fill the Rodri void'published at 22:08 Greenwich Mean Time 3 February

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport's chief football news reporter on The Football News Show: Deadline Day Special

City have been interested in Porto midfielder Nico Gonzalez for a while and they have struggled to fill the void left by Rodri.

The loss at Arsenal exposed that issue more. His dad was actually a youth coach at Manchester City when Pep Guardiola arrived at the club.

Their spending shows how much work Guardiola thinks needs to be done on his squad.

This is what a deal sheet looks like by the way.

The Premier League says: "For a deadline of 23:00, the deal sheet cannot be used before 21:00 and needs to arrive fully completed before the transfer window closes.

"Once the sheet arrives, clubs have got another two hours, or until 01:00, in which to submit the full paperwork."

Just under an hour to go until the transfer deadline shuts.

Premier League clubs have until 23:00 GMT to get a 'deal sheet' in with the Premier League - and that gives them extra time to finalise everything.

Because an entire month wasn't long enough...
