Eastleigh returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over strugglers Morecambe in the National League.

The Spitfires were without a win in their past three games and both teams came close to an opener through Jack Nolan and Ciaran McGuckin.

Nick Townsend held Nolan's menacing corner and McGuckin had an effort blocked just before the break, but Eastleigh took the lead in the 51st minute through Lloyd Humphries' free-kick, which landed in the top corner.

McGuckin slotted home from the penalty spot in the 73rd minute to double the lead and Morecambe threatened a comeback in the 90th minute when Ben Tollitt struck, but Eastleigh saw the game out.
