    Meanwhile, Blackpool have gained a potential lifeline at Crawley, with debutant Ashley Fletcher charging down the goalkeeper's clearance to pull a goal back for the Tangerines and make it 2-1.

    The deadlock is broken at the Lamex Stadium, where Elliott List gets his name on the, er, list of scorers to put Stevenage ahead against Shrewsbury Town.

    We still await goals in the games between Bristol Rovers and Northampton and Exeter and Rotherham - but there have been four at the Pirelli Stadium, where Burton Albion and Lincoln are locked at 2-2.

    And Crawley are still on course for an opening-day win, holding a 2-0 advantage over Blackpool.

    As Billy Sharp got on the scoresheet today for Doncaster Rovers in their thumping win at Accrington Stanley, he has now netted 250 times in English league football.

    He has also now scored at least once in 20 of the last 21 seasons, according to our friends at Opta.

    We’ve already had plenty of thrills and spills in the opening round of League Two fixtures today – here’s a reminder of the highlights.

    Two goals inside the first five minutes earned Bradford City boss Graham Alexander a 2-1 win on his return to MK Dons, who dismissed him last season.

    Michael Cheek and Kamarl Grant were on target for EFL new boys Bromley, who launched League Two life in style as they triumphed 2-0 at Harrogate.

    AFC Wimbledon recovered an early two-goal deficit to win 4-2 against Colchester, while Cheltenham surrendered a 2-0 advantage at home to Newport – only for Joel Colwill to snatch a 96th-minute winner.

    Ben Garrity’s double earned Port Vale a 2-0 win at Salford, while Fleetwood – relegated alongside Vale last season – were also victorious on the opening day as they held off Grimsby by a single goal.

    Evergreen striker Billy Sharp, 38, was among the scorers for Doncaster, who began with a resounding 4-1 victory against Accrington, while Gillingham defeated Carlisle by the same scoreline.

    There were 1-0 wins for Barrow and Walsall against Crewe and Morecambe respectively, while the Prenton Park crowd had to settle for a scoreless draw between Tranmere and Notts County.

    We're still awaiting the opening goals in three League One games as we approach half-time.

    It remains scoreless in the fixtures between Bristol Rovers and Northampton, Exeter and Rotherham and Stevenage and Shrewsbury.

    That's not the case at Crawley though - the home side are very much enjoying their return to League One so far and Junior Quitirna has found the net to give them a 2-0 advantage against Blackpool.

    It's been quite a first half at Pirelli Stadium, where Burton are now all square again in their game against Lincoln - Billy Bodin's strike making it 2-2.
