GOAL: Leyton Orient 1-1 Boltonpublished at 18:10 British Summer Time 10 August

    Charlie Kelman (38 mins)

Leyton Orient equalise against the run of play.

A mistake by Bolton at the back leaves the door open for the home side who take full advantage and net an equaliser.

It looks like a Wanderers defender was tracking back but slipped leaving Charlie Kelman room to get off a strike and level the score.

  5. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 18:06 British Summer Time 10 August

    Leyton Orient 0-1 Bolton

No sooner had I said that Leyton Orient were looking a little lacklustre, they rattle the woodwork!

An incredible solo effort from Zech Obiero who dribbles from the halfway line deep into Bolton territory.

He moves the ball to his right foot, looks up and absolutely blasts a shot toward goal.

It beats the keeper but rattles the crossbar.

Something of a turnaround at Pirelli Stadium, where Tendayi Darikwa's goal has now given Lincoln City a 2-1 lead over Burton Albion.

Rushian Hepburn-Murphy's 16th-minute goal for Crawley, who came up via the League Two play-offs last season, means they are ahead at home to Blackpool.

No goals yet between Exeter and Rotherham, but a generous round of applause in the 14th minute as the home crowd mark 14 years since the passing of former Grecians striker Adam Stansfield.

Meanwhile Huddersfield's trip to Peterborough is currently goalless in their first game in League One since relegation from the Championship last term.

  9. Postpublished at 17:56 British Summer Time 10 August

    Stockport 1-0 Cambridge

Cambridge are fighting back, after conceding an early goal to League One newcomers Stockport, and playing some neat instinctive football.

Striker Shayne Lavery has had a pair of shots blocked, including one that was toed off the goal line, in the last few minutes.

The Hatters remain on top though.

  10. CLOSE!published at 17:51 British Summer Time 10 August

    Peterborough 0-0 Huddersfield

Terriers forward Josh Koroma lets fly from 20 yards and his shot is well saved by Posh keeper Jed Steer.

The low effort is driven hard towards the right-hand corner but Steer was equal to it.

  11. League One latestpublished at 17:44 British Summer Time 10 August

It's a dream start for new Burton Albion signing Udoka Godwin-Malife - the former Swindon man fired the Brewers into a fifth-minute lead on his debut at home to Lincoln.

However, the Imps have quickly cancelled that goal out, with Paudie O'Connor heading the equaliser in the ninth minute.

So far, no goals elsewhere - but that will surely change!

    Birmingham City 0-0 Reading

Reading have the ball in the back of the net but the referee blows for a foul.

Blues keeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell comes for a lofted cross and misses the ball but it was judged contact from a Reading attacker was not fair.

    Louie Barry (5 mins)

    What a start!

Louie Barry puts Stockport ahead early with a stunning half-volley from 30 yards out.

It's been 13 years since Bristol Rovers fans were able to celebrate a win on the opening day of an EFL season - can that be the Pirates' lucky number as they entertain Northampton Town?

Meanwhile, Crawley Town are also at home as they make their return to the third tier after promotion through the play-offs - and it's a tough match-up on paper against Blackpool, who finished eighth last season.

Rotherham United, who were relegated after two years in the Championship, begin their bid to bounce back away to Exeter City, while Burton Albion host Lincoln City and Stevenage entertain Shrewsbury Town.

Wigan Athletic head into this League One season with the aim of kicking on under Shaun Maloney.

They face a Charlton Athletic side who are unbeaten across their last five opening games of a league season (W3 D2) since losing 2-1 to Sunderland to start off 2018-19.

These two teams finished nine points apart last campaign with Wigan finishing the higher in 12th.

Wigan Athletic have won just two of their last seven league games against Charlton Athletic (D2 L3) despite scoring exactly two goals in five of those matches.

Birmingham City have signed 10 new players already in the summer transfer window.

After a disappointing relegation campaign last season, Birmingham City fans will be hoping their side can bounce back to the Championship at the first time of asking.

Despite dropping down to League One, Blues have acted in the transfer market, introducing 10 new players already to their squad.

They welcome a Reading side to St Andrews who are still dealing with issues off the pitch as they wait for the club to be taken over by new owners.

Royals fans will be hoping that news can be confirmed sooner rather than later so they can completely focus on gaining some momentum and aiming back towards the second tier.
