The one thing we've learnt from last season is you don't need to win every game to be in the top 8. Liverpool can use this game (and maybe a couple of others) to get familiar with their tactical set up.

    Bodo/Glimt 0-0 Tottenham

Lost count of the amount of times Spurs have kicked the ball out of play. Thomas Frank won't be happy with this first half display.

Jonny Wilkinson would be proud of that spot kick.

    Bodo/Glimt 0-0 Tottenham

Kasper Hogh this time with a swing of the right foot from the edge of the box but it's blocked by the crowd of Spurs players.

The ball comes back and it's Jens Petter Hauge who leathers one just past the post.

  6. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:38 BST

    Galatasaray 1-0 Liverpool

Ibrahima Konate is down with a head injury but the referee allows play to continue and Mario Lemina chops down Curtis Jones in full flight.

That's a booking all day long but why was the game not stopped after Konate went down?

    Chelsea 1-0 Benfica

It's all gone a bit quiet at Stamford Bridge to be honest. Not much going on.

Not sure what on earth Hogh was doing. It was like a golf wedge. He was trying to be too clever. That is a massive chance. Even though Tottenham have had to defend for the majority, you may not get another opportunity like that.

That was closer to a conversion in rugby. Not a good penalty at all.

Now an ambitious attempt by Victor Osimhen from outside the box after the Galatasaray forward spots Alisson off his line. The Brazil keeper plucks the ball out of the air after Osimhen attempts to lift it over Alisson.

Kasper Hogh has absolutely SMASHED that over the bar.

    Massive let off for Spurs.

Rodrigo Bentancur is saying he got the ball but he certainly got a touch on the player there.

  15. Martinez strikes for Inter, Marseille and Bayern three uppublished at 20:34 BST

More and more goals across the continent!

Inter have finally broken the deadlock at San Siro.

Slavia Prague keeper Jindrich Stanek put too little on a pass out from the back and Lautaro Martinez was there to roll the ball into an empty net.

Elsewhere Marseille are now three up against Ajax, with Mason Greenwood adding his name to the scoresheet, and Chelsea loanee Nicolas Jackson has added a third goal to Bayern's tally at Pafos.

So a penalty against Liverpool that 'wasn’t a penalty'. As an Everton fan, I can safely say they have received quite a few penalties in that fashion.

Better by Liverpool as Florian Wirtz swivels and fires towards goal after Jeremie Frimpong's pass but Ugurcan Çakir does well to make the save. Then Ibrahima Konate heads wide from a corner.

  18. PENALTY TO BODO/GLIMTpublished at 20:33 BST

Silly from Rodrigo Bentancur to dive into a challenge to stop the cross but he's too eager and the referee points to the spot.

I think Jose Mourinho will be disappointed to be behind but he will be happy with what his team have created in the first half.

Alejandro Garnacho brings down the ball well on the left-hand side, he chips the cross in but there's no one there in the box to latch onto the ball.
