Southampton lead at the end of an eventful half of football at St Mary's.

Caspar Jender and Finn Azaz gave the hosts a 2-0 lead with their first goals for the club.

The Owls responded well and halved the deficit through a long-range strike from Harry Amass.

Henrik Pederson's side rode their luck as Azaz had an effort cleared off the line to deny the former Middlesbrough player his second goal of the game.

There are SEVEN minutes of time added on at the end of this first half.

All square in a game of few clearcut chances.

Harvey Knibbs hit the bar for the visitors with the best chance of the game so far but both sides' resolute defences have been on top.

Coventry have had the better of it, bossing possession and mustering the most attempts on goal, but it's still just one shot on target apiece as we enter three added minutes at the end of the half.
