Send every single person on the Fenerbache bench off - that was a disgusting response to what was clearly and obviously not a penalty - the diver should be booked as well!

I've never felt fully comfortable with ETH, but I do think we need more time as a squad and some signings/getting rid of some. Calibre or player is a big issue - does someone like Rashford, a very good player and a personal favourite, really match up to a Salah etc? We need "mentality monsters" but we have players who, for all their talent, lack composure and determination.

What is Zirkzee? 10? 9?… a footballer???… the answer is none of the above.

Jose Mourinho took his time to leave but he has moved to behind some railings after being sent off by Clement Turpin.

He was furious at not getting the penalty decision - as was the rest of the Fenerbahce bench - and he was incredulous he was the man being red carded.

Turpin appeared to suggest he should go down the tunnel. Well, that hasn't happened.

I did say beforehand, it's usually about Jose. It is again.

  3. Postpublished at 21:20 British Summer Time 24 October

    Tottenham 1-0 AZ Alkmaar

Spurs just need to keep giving the ball to young Mikey Moore!

Once again the 17-year-old bursts inside off the touchline, beats a couple of defenders and fires a pass across the six-yard box - but none of his team-mates are there to add the finishing touch.

He has been outstanding in this second half on his full home debut.

Jose Mourinho is stood on a platform behind the dug outs following his red card.

    Fenerbahce 1-1 Man Utd

    Rene Meulensteen
Former Manchester United coach on BBC Radio 5 Live

Bright Osayi-Samuel made a meal of it and they tried to unsettle the referee with the crowd.

Fenerbahce have to be careful as we have VAR to look at it. The referee got it correct straight away.

    Good decision.

A second goal for Vaclav Cerny and it's another lovely finish from the Czech winger.

He gets on a really good driving run and has options to his left but decides to go for it himself and why not. He picks his spot and slots a lovely finish into the bottom corner.

Looks like job done for Rangers!

  11. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 21:17 British Summer Time 24 October

    Fenerbahce 1-1 Man Utd

    Now Fenerbahce want a penalty.

Bright Osayi-Samuel goes down inside the box after a challenge by Manuel Ugarte.

The referee waves away the home team's protests and Jose Mourinho is not happy at all.

  12. Postpublished at 21:16 British Summer Time 24 October

    Tottenham 1-0 AZ Alkmaar

Spurs are in again but AZ keeper Rome-Jayden Owusu-Oduro manages to cut out Brennan Johnson's ball in towards Richarlison.

This is much, much better from the home side after a fairly flat first half. The home crowd are right behind their side now.

  13. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 21:15 British Summer Time 24 October

    Fenerbahce 1-1 Man Utd

The home fans are roaring their side forward and Erik ten Hag's side are under serious pressure. The United boss opts to shake things up and sends on Rasmus Hojlund and Casemiro.

When United lose this, ETH has to go. Absolutely soulless, Sunday league defending and now the atmosphere’s there, so will United’s collapse.

    Nathan, Manchester

Same old, same old with this United team under Ten Hag. I honestly don't understand why the United board are sticking with him. What do they see in him that most others don't? Just get the inevitable over and done with please.

    Matt, Northampton

For a long time after Ferguson, United didn’t play well but continued to eke out wins under the expectation of being a big club. The only thing that’s changed since Ten Hag is that that expectation is gone. We’re a bang on mid-table club.

TNS go straight up the other end and Daniel Williams tries the shot. Zarutskiy parries it away into the path of Declan McManus and has to make another good save.
