It looks like we will be seeing a lot more of Miami after it was announced that it will stay on the F1 calendar until 2041.
Formula 1 president Stefano Domenicali said the 10-year extension will strengthen the sport's presence in the United States, and "consolidates the ever-deepening bond with our fan base there".

Ferrari's Lewis Hamilton, who finishes third in the sprint race: "The crowd has been so great today. Oh man, I'm so happy with that. It's been a tough year so far but... I never thought it was going to rain in Miami! Its the first time we've been on track in the wet here and what a race it provided us.
"I really, really did struggle on the inters - everyone was struggling on them. I made that call at that end and I said I'm coming in because I was going nowhere. Take the risk, take the gamble and it paid off.
"I wish we had another couple of laps to give these guys a bit of a fight, but big congrats to McLaren."

McLaren's Oscar Piastri who finished second in the sprint race: "I feel like I did pretty much everything right so obviously a bit disappointed to come away with second but that's how it goes sometimes. Unfortunately, racing is a pretty cruel business.
"Hopefully that means I get a bit of luck for this afternoon and tomorrow. But, another great start and I had to get my elbows out in that one. Happy with what I did."
"We had a little pace on the table in sprint qualifying yesterday, hopefully we can use that in qualifying this afternoon. It would be nice if the weather can make up it's mind. But, been enjoying it, we've got a quick car, we just need to try and make it quicker and have an easier race tomorrow."
'My luck in Miami is pretty good' - Norrispublished at 18:21 British Summer Time 3 May

McLaren's Lando Norris, who wins the Miami sprint race from third on the grid: "My luck in Miami seems pretty good at the minute, really happy.
"The pace was still very good but it's just difficult these races, you never know when to box; do you box early, it paid off for Lewis, he had a good strategy, or do you stay out later and maybe get the safety car. It"s worked two years in a row.
"I probably would've preferred if this had happened tomorrow, rather than today, but I'll take it. Good job by the team.
"[Another win tomorrow] is the plan. But it's tricky. There are a lot of quick guys out there. I felt good yesterday; a couple of mistakes but I'm ready to go again."

The race has definitely delivered! Plenty of action in such a short space of time.
Congratulations to Lando Norris. He did actually put pressure on Oscar Piastri. He got a little bit fortunate when the car crashed with Carlos Sainz and bringing out the yellow flag - he got a little bit of a window there to come out ahead.
But these two guys looked strong in these conditions and if the race had been a long race, like tomorrow, I think Lando is a little bit quicker.

Lewis Hamilton must be extremely upset because he pulled a blinder and was the quickest man on the track at the time and he's now up into third place. But of course now, with the safety car, he can't press home that advantage. He was the boldest one and went onto the slicks earlier than everyone else.
