George Russell goes third quickest, half a second off Lando Norris.

Max Verstappen, one of the favourites for pole position here, is currently seventh quickest.

The middle sector is such a rhythm area of the track, the moment you turn into Turn Seven it almost dictates everything through to the exit of Turn 11.

Some concern here for Fernando Alonso. He is out of his Aston Martin and the car has been taken apart to try and rectify an issue they found after switching from the medium to the soft tyres.

He won't be getting out again in practice but he will hope the extra time to work on the car will have the issues resolved by the time qualifying comes round.

Big lap by Lando Norris! Fastest of all through all three sectors as he does a 1:16.633 and that is three tenths quicker than Lewis Hamilton.

Now it is Lewis Hamilton's turn to be quickest with 1:16.978 after a superb middle sector. He's more than two tenths quicker than anyone else.

  6. Postpublished at 19:19 BST 25 October

Now Kimi Antonelli is quickest with 1:17.253, 0.053s quicker than Charles Leclerc.

I suspect his stay at the top will be brief as well.

  7. Postpublished at 19:18 BST 25 October

Another change at the top as Charles Leclerc goes quickest with 1:17.306. Once again there's so little between these times at the moment.

  8. Postpublished at 19:17 BST 25 October

Now championship leader Oscar Piastri goes quickest of all with 1:17.315, just 0.081s quicker than Isack Hadjar.

George Russell briefly went fastest but he has been nudged down to P2 as Isack Hadjar does a 1:17.396 on softs.

Almost everyone else is on softs now so expect plenty of changes at the top over the next 15 minutes.

The track is just getting faster and faster. This is the lap that you want to put together nicely to give yourself the confidence going into qualifying later.

Disappointing for Alex Albon because he was fastest of all through the first two sectors but locks up again in the stadium section and that lap is scrubbed.

Heading into the final 20 minutes and most cars are back in the pits as we prepare for some qualifying simulation runs.

We need to see if the track is ramping up in that middle sector or whether the Mercedes is just really, really strong. Both of their cars are working well there at the moment.

  14. Postpublished at 19:08 BST 25 October

It is incredibly tight at the top of the order with the six fastest times set by six different teams' cars and seperated by just 0.065 seconds.

  15. Postpublished at 19:05 BST 25 October

Alex Albon is on the soft tyre and struggling a little bit as he locks up and runs wide heading into the stadium section.

Andy: Would love Lando Norris to win the title but you can't give Red Bull and Max Verstappen momentum leading into final few races. Mclaren need to fight together.

Peter: Max Verstappen to win the world title, sadly the McLaren drivers are just not ruthless enough. It isn't going to happen for either driver!

George Russell has been complaining about lack of grip but he still manages to produce a really good lap, going third quickest and just three tenths of a second off Lando Norris' time.

It's interesting that George Russell is complaining about the medium tyre again because that was his problem yesterday.

Mercedes still clearly haven't solved that problem.

Lando Norris improves again and is quickest with a 1:18.015, edging Carlos Sainz by just 0.013s.
