This is really developing now in a radio war. There will be a full debrief I'm sure across the McLarens and Red Bulls.

Now comes the emotional plea from McLaren to Lando Norris. His engineer mentions the team meetings on a Sunday.

"Yeah, tell him to catch up then, please," comes the response from Norris.

Norris' argument will be that Oscar needs to catch him up and he doesn't seem able to do that at the moment. I think that's fair enough because even if you were to switch them it looks like Lando is the faster of the two McLarens, that is what the lap times are saying.

McLaren are also telling Lando Norris to look after his tyres. The garages are a hive of activity. This could be the first bit of real tension team principal Andrea Stella has to deal with.

I'm not saying that the call they [McLaren] are making is right or wrong because you can argue it from both sides.

The point is, if you are a team and you've decided that is going to happen, you now need to enforce it.

What would you do if you were Lando Norris? You're second in the championship, Max Verstappen is in fourth, you're leading this race.

    Decisions, decisions!

    Thumb us now.

Up thumb for move over and let Oscar through, or down thumb for stay ahead.

I'm a huge fan of McLaren but they need to be more decisive in this situation, they need to be forceful here and give out orders.

McLaren are telling Lando Norris on the radio they know "he will do the right thing" but what will the Briton do? Oscar Piastri is four seconds down the road but will the Australian have to settle for second place at the Hungarian Grand Prix?

Lando does not agree with switching [the place] back, he feels the strategy has played out his way and that's the way that it needs to stay.
