    That's interesting because that's the second [Norris] of the two McLarens going in to pit first which potentially feels like an undercut, I'm sure they won't let that happen.

    McLaren perform a 2.6-second stop for Lando Norris and scrubbed mediums go on. The Briton rejoins the fun in fourth place behind the Ferrari of Carlos Sainz, who now moves up in to the final podium spot. Lance Stroll also heads in for change so Fernando Alonso moves his Aston Martin back into the top 10.

    Things are looking good here for McLaren because their major contenders are somewhat fallen away and they have maintained their pace. Their biggest battle is going to be between eachother.

    Sergio Perez and George Russell, who were given the boot in the first part of qualifying yesterday, are up in the points in seventh for Perez and eighth for Russell. Lance Stroll and Yuki Tsunoda complete the top 10.

    It's going to be a big job to ask Charles Leclerc to get to the end of the race but certainly to get to the end of the race with the pace he needs to up against Hamilton.

    The purple stopwatch is camped by Charles Leclerc's name on the leaderboard. The Monegasque driver is on the medium tyre and is sitting in sixth place with the aim of getting past Lewis Hamilton on the harder compound in fifth.

    Oh dear. Max Verstappen is on the rampage and is bemoaning the undercut from Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton. The three-time world champion is 11 seconds off race leader Oscar Piastri, who replays show had an earlier twitch in his McLaren, leading to his advantage being cut down.

    Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc have headed into the pits at the same time. The Mercedes driver goes onto the hards and comes out in fifth and Ferrari place Leclerc on medium and rejoins in sixth.

    McLaren are giving them license to go and race but the mid-forties is what he's suggesting, he wants to keep a lap time that is still going to look after the tyres so they can get to the end of the race.

    This is great stuff isn't it, it's not since 2021 that we've seen battles like this from these two [Hamilton and Verstappen], they are all over each other.

    Leclerc is closing them both down very quickly to the point where Leclerc is now visibly behind Verstappen.
