  1. Bogey for Hullpublished at 17:46 British Summer Time 3 August

    Hull -10, Khang -5 (16)

Never has a bogey been cheered so much on the 16th hole!

Charley Hull manages to escape with just a bogey after a brilliant pressure putt.

Hull drops a shot, back down to 10 under, but has two holes now to take something out of Miyu Yamashita's lead.

It was finding the fairway bunker off the tee that did the damage.

    Yamashita -12 (14)

    Andrew Richards
BBC Sport Wales at Royal Porthcawl

“Hello!” says a punter beside me as Miyu Yamashita’s birdie putt races by the hole, to suggest this five-foot par putt won’t be easy.

He’s forgotten that the leader hasn’t made a bogey all day and she has no intention of starting now.

Her fans clap her through to the 15th tee.

  3. Granite play from Yamashitapublished at 17:45 British Summer Time 3 August

    Kim -8, Yamashita -12 (14)

A Lim Kim can only roll up to around six feet. She has a job on her hands to limit the damage as Miyu Yamashita totally misjudges her birdie putt.

Can she save par from a similar distance? This is enthralling stuff and the Japanese leader produces a rock-solid effort to make four.

Kim does not like her putt and gets up off it before tickling into the heart of the hole.

    Hull -11, Khang -5 (15)

Bad to worse for Charley Hull as she underhits her chip on the green at the 16th. It's definitely a bogey, but it could end up being worse.

Glum faces around 16 as Charley Hull’s third shot goes through the back.

This hole has been a brute all week.

    Hull -11, Khang -5 (15)

    Gah.

Charley Hull overhits her approach shot on the 16th and the ball rolls off the green and down the slope at the back of it.

This looks like it might end up as a bogey unless Hull can produce something special.

    Kim -9, Yamashita -12 (13)

A Lim Kim needs something special here. She can just about see the top of the flag but has a horrible lie in the long stuff and swiches out to the front of the green.

She will be putting for par from a different postcode, mind.

Charley Hull finds a bunker with her tee shot at the 16th and chips out...but into the rough rather than on to the fairway.

The 29-year-old has work to do here.

  9. Katsu running out of holespublished at 17:35 British Summer Time 3 August

    Katsu -8, A Lee -5 (14)

Minami Katsu is still in with a chance of challenging the leaders at eight under on the 14th but after a run of three pars she is running out of holes and needs to find some inspiration from somewhere.

Andrea Lee is too far back having made just the solitary birdie today.

    Kim -9, Yamashita -12 (13)

A Lim Kim catches the lip of that fairway bunker and more trouble awaits as her ball plummets into the fescue.

Miyu Yamashita pitches her second on to the front of the putting surface. She is doing a superb job of holding everything together. So far.

  11. Hull settles for parpublished at 17:30 British Summer Time 3 August

    Hull -11, Khang -5 (15)

No dice for Charley Hull with a tricky birdie putt on the 15th. She'll have to settle for par.

Getting tense now, but Hull looks ice cool.

    Takeda -7 (15)

Rio Takeda missed that birdie putt on the 15th and now runs through the back of the 16th green. She is running out of holes.

  13. Rhodes finishes one underpublished at 17:29 British Summer Time 3 August

    Rhodes -1 (74)

Things fell away a bit for England's Mimi Rhodes on the back nine but she finishes with a birdie and she'll surely be happy with her efforts in her first Women's Open.

She'll always have that amazing hole-in-one to remember the occasion by...

    Kim -9, Yamashita -12 (13)

A Lim Kim tries to carry the fairway bunker but fails as the leader and her playijng partner comes up with a gem of a tee shot to leave a great angle to attack the 14th green.

    Yamashita -12 (13)

    Andrew Richards

A big roar from Miyu Yamashita’s following at that gutsy par putt.

Straight into the middle of the cup.

    What a battle this is.

  16. Yamashita saves parpublished at 17:25 British Summer Time 3 August

    Kim -9, Yamashita -12 (13)

A Lim Kim cannot believe it. Her eagle putt looks good but somehow fails to turn at the last and tumble into the cup. Just a birdie for the South Korean.

Yamashita, who is putting from 12-15 feet, holes out for par. What a save.

Still no bogey on her card today. Still one shot in front.

  17. Postpublished at 17:23 British Summer Time 3 August

    Hull -11 Khang -5 (14)

Charley Hull is on the green with her tee shot on the 144-yard par-three 15th. There's another chance of a birdie from around 20 feet.

Can she do it and draw level with Miyu Yamashita?

  18. Postpublished at 17:22 British Summer Time 3 August

    Kim -8, Yamashita -12 (12)

Did Miyu Yamashita and A Lim Kim hear that huge roar ahead of them?

A quick glance at the leaderboard is only likely to increase any pressure they may be feeling.

Yamashita, who was second at the Women's PGA Championship in 2024, rather duffs her chip from the left and will have a huge mid-range putt to save par and retain her lead.
