    Kim -8, Yamashita -12 (12)

Barely a flicker of annoyance from Miyu Yamashita as her tee shot chases on into the fairway bunker on the par-five 13th.

She was erratic with her driver on Saturday and coughed up two shots in the final five holes of the third round. If she can hold herself together today, she will become a major champion.

She elects to splash out of the bunker but still has 262 yards to carry to reach the pin.

The fairway driver is out and she gives that everything she has with her ball ending up pin high but veering left of the green.

A Lim Kim is on in two and will have an eagle putt.

  2. Hull eyes birdie chancepublished at 17:17 British Summer Time 3 August

    Hull -10, Khang - 6 (13)

Now then. A six iron from Charley Hull from the rough gets her on the green in two on the par-four 14th hole.

A chance to go move within a shot.

    Yamashita -12 (12)

I’ve just watched 4ft 9in leader Miyu Yamashita disappear into the deep fairway bunker on 13, with just the bun of hair on her head visible.

She’s out now, as is her ball, to ripples of applause.

  4. Woad finishes in stylepublished at 17:11 British Summer Time 3 August

    Woad -4 (71)

Lottie Woad rolls in her final putt of the Women's Open for a birdie at the 18th and she's looking at a very good finish for the second year in succession.

She might match the top-10 she achieved last year and it's been an excellent week for the 21-year-old given the circumstances.

Woad entered as pre-tournament favourite after two wins in her previous three starts and was the main focus of almost everyone's attention.

It's easy to forget this is only her second event as a pro.

I'm sure she'll be challenging for one of these major titles again some time soon.

    Takeda -7 (14)

Rio Takeda does not look like she is ready to give this one up yet despite being five shots off the lead.

The world number 12 plays a beautiful shot off the tee to land close to the flag on the par-three 15th. A very makeable birdie putt awaits.

Once again today, the wind is into the players’ faces on 14.

The same will be the case on the next two holes - and 17 is another challenge even though the wind is helping there.

This could be the key stretch of the day.

  7. Hull seals par on the 13thpublished at 17:06 British Summer Time 3 August

    Hull-10, Khang -6 (13)

No problems for Charley Hull as she slides that par putt in.

No blots on her scorecard today so far, but she does end up in the rough with her tee shot on the 14th hole.

  8. Yamashita in controlpublished at 17:04 British Summer Time 3 August

    Kim -8, Yamashita -12 (12)

There is very little messing about on the 12th tee from Miyu Yamashita, who barely takes any practice swings before playing a low cutter on to the green of the par three.

She'll have two putts for par with her ball running on a little and duly makes par.

A Lim Kim lands her ball much closer and has a decent line on her putt. Just not enough gas on that.

    Hull -10, Khang -6 (13)

The fans are four or five deep at the green on the 13th at Royal Porthcawl as Charley Hull bends a putt up the hill, falling just short of a birdie.

This should be a fairly straightforward par...

    Kim -8, Yamashita -12 (11)

A Lim Kim is in a cavernous bunker guarding the 11th green and makes a fine up-and-down to stay at eight under.

Is a third birdie of the week on this hole on the menu for Miyu Yamashita? No. Her birdie putt from 15 feet or so drifts right. Just a par but another hole ticked off and her lead over Charley Hull remains at two strokes.

    Yamashita -12 (10)

    Andrew Richards

As Miyu Yamashita strolls up the 11th on my right, Charley Hull is on the 12th green to my left.

It’s Hull who is winning in terms of crowd numbers and they make a huge noise as she makes birdie.

Yamashita must have heard that but she doesn’t flinch, and hits her approach to the middle of the green.

    Focused.

Like many of those following Charley Hull, I am relying on the reaction of others to know whether her birdie putt drops on the 12th.

Once again, the roar tells all.

  14. Hull goes 10 underpublished at 16:47 British Summer Time 3 August

    Hull -10, Khang -6 (12)

Charley Hull has a birdie chance at the par-three 12th after a decent tee shot.

The ball practically sticks to the pin from her putt - Hull prefers to leave the flag in, of course - before dropping into the hole.

Hull grabs her ball and confidently strides to the next hole. She means business and, at 10 under and two shots off the lead, no wonder.

  15. Postpublished at 16:44 British Summer Time 3 August

    Kim -8, Yamashita -12 (9)

A Lim Kim and Miyu Yamashita both have birdie putts on the 10th. Both end up with pars.

A dramatic finale is still very much in play.

  16. Postpublished at 16:43 British Summer Time 3 August

Paula Martin Sampedro's four-under round of 68 remains the lowest of the day so far.

The only two players at three under for the day - either on the course or in the clubhouse - are the top two.

Miyu Yamashita and Charley Hull are both yet to register a bogey on Sunday.

  17. Takeda back in the mixpublished at 16:42 British Summer Time 3 August

    Takeda -7 (12)

Having just knocked in a lengthy birdie put on the 11th, Rio Takeda picks up another shot on the 12th after arcing her tee shot into three feet.

She is now one of three Japanese players in the top four.

  18. Hull bags parpublished at 16:35 British Summer Time 3 August

    Hull -9, Khang -6 (11)

    Gareth Vincent
BBC Sport Wales at Royal Porthcawl

The crowds following Charley Hull remain huge.

Relief reigns around the green as she holes that tester to save par while Megan Khang picks up a birdie.

  19. Postpublished at 16:35 British Summer Time 3 August

    Hull -9, Khang -5 (10)

Charley Hull's approach at the 11th leaves her with a challenging long putt, from off the green, for birdie. A bit of undulation en route takes it wide of the hole, but she's left with a very makeable putt for par.

  20. Birdie for Takedapublished at 16:30 British Summer Time 3 August

    Takeda -6 (11)

Rio Takeda gets lucky as her ball clings like velcro to the edge of the 11th green. She capitalises by knocking in her first birdie putt of the day to get back to six under.
