There's so much adrenaline in that.

MacIntyre flicks a six-iron into the green, but it bounces through and into the rough.

Harry Hall has just chipped in from there...

    MacIntyre -13, Scheffler -14 (16)

The 17th is a 222-yard par three that plays downhill

It's surrounded by places for punters to watch on from.

    Time to be bold, Bob.

Two to go. One shot in it.

    How are the nerves?

  4. Birdie for Bob, at lastpublished at 22:32 British Summer Time 17 August

    MacIntyre -13, Scheffler -14 (16)

This can't be any further than three feet for birdie here. C'mon Bob.

He gives it a lot of respect, a few looks, and then rolls it in.

That's his first birdie of the day.

  5. Postpublished at 22:30 British Summer Time 17 August

    Scheffler -14 (16)

Scheffler's birdie putt swerves to the left.

Bob has a chance to get within one if he converts his putt.

The American taps in for par.

  6. Postpublished at 22:29 British Summer Time 17 August

    MacIntyre -12, Scheffler -14 (15)

The most delicate of dinks from Bob. He flicks it about a foot forward, and it races towards the hole, stopping a few paces short.

A shot of the highest quality there, that was near impossible to execute.

A look at bride to follow.

  7. Postpublished at 22:27 British Summer Time 17 August

    MacIntyre -12, Scheffler -14 (15)

"Oh no, no, no" exclaims Scheffler as he pitches towards the pin from the rough.

It ends up around 14 feet from the pin, curling back around from the back of the green.

Imagine that being you're "no, no, no' shot...

  8. Fleetwood finishes uppublished at 22:25 British Summer Time 17 August

    Fleetwood -10

A good day's work for Tommy.

He's currently in a tie for fifth with Ludvig Aberg.

  9. Postpublished at 22:24 British Summer Time 17 August

    Burns -12 (16)

Sam Burns birdies the 16th and moves into a share of second for now with Bob.

He's eyeing a spot on Keegan Bradley's Ryder Cup team, for sure.

  10. Postpublished at 22:23 British Summer Time 17 August

    MacIntyre -12, Scheffler -14 (15)

Bob takes a wood from the fairway and is begging for it to be good. He's not sure where it's landed.

He's a foot away from slam dunking it straight in the hole, with it taking a firm bounce and going through the green.

He *should* be able to work it close from there, though.

  11. Postpublished at 22:22 British Summer Time 17 August

    MacIntyre -12, Scheffler -14 (15)

Oaft, Scheffler flies from a bunker on the left to the rough on the right.

If he's drawn a decent lie he can probably get up and down from there, mind you.

  12. Postpublished at 22:21 British Summer Time 17 August

    MacIntyre -12, Scheffler -14 (15)

Scheffler's tee shot finds the bunker on the 16th.

  13. Hall on the move 📈published at 22:21 British Summer Time 17 August

    Hall -9 (17)

Cornwall's Harry Hall bogeys the 16th but is still looking likely to crack the top 30 and make it into next week's event.

He gets a shot back with a tremendous chip-in birdie at the 17th, making it even more likely.

A truly magnificent season from the 28-year-old is about to be well-rewarded.

  14. Postpublished at 22:17 British Summer Time 17 August

    MacIntyre -12, Scheffler -14 (15)

    The par-five 16th next.

Bob's tee shot is moving to the right, but it takes a fortuitous bounce and bundles back towards the middle.

No use in holding back now. Can he muster a grandstand finish?

  15. Postpublished at 22:14 British Summer Time 17 August

    MacIntyre -12, Scheffler -14 (15)

Scheffler rolls it in for birdie. MacIntyre does likewise for par.

We're back to a two-shot lead with three to play.

You feel Bob had to make that birdie putt...

  16. Postpublished at 22:13 British Summer Time 17 August

    MacIntyre -12, Scheffler -13 (14)

Ach, it just drops by on the low side. That would have piled the pressure on Scheffler.

  17. Postpublished at 22:11 British Summer Time 17 August

    MacIntyre -12, Scheffler -13 (14)

This putt for Bob is huge, no two ways about it. We're in has-to-make territory.

  18. Postpublished at 22:08 British Summer Time 17 August

    MacIntyre -12, Scheffler -13 (14)

A beauty from the fairway for Bob, pin high, decent look at birdie.

Scheffler follows from the bunker and somehow arrows it around and just inside Bob's ball.

    Two terrific approaches.

If… and it’s still a big if… Bob somehow manages to turn this around, where would this sit in terms of wins for Scottish golfers?

Biggest win since Paul Lawrie at Carnoustie in 1999?

Bob hasn’t holed a putt all day long but is being given every opportunity by Scottie who may just be sensing a little bit of pressure?
