    Schauffele/Spaun v Rahm/Straka 1UP (14)

The Americans are scrapping in the bottom two matches.

JJ Spaun and Xander Schauffele fire darts at the 15th flag, both balls inside eight feet.

It's unlikely Jon Rahm will be salvaging this hole - he's 48 feet away.

    DeChambeau/Scheffler v Fleetwood/Rose 3UP (15)

Scottie Scheffler into the heart of the 16th green but not close.

Bryson DeChambeau pulls his approach from the left rough into the juicy greenside rough.

And they are dormie three down remember.

Hold your horses! Justin Thomas sighs like a boxer on the ropes. He’s just found one big punch to rock Europe. Maybe. Thirteen inches away from the ace!

    Thomas/Young v McIlroy/Lowry 1 UP (16)

Justin Thomas with a quite breath-taking tee shot at the 17th, which lands just over a foot away from the flag. A chance for the USA to level this one up?

Still no red, but a slice of blue wiped off.

Three blue matches, one all square
  6. Burns chips in to level matchpublished at 22:20 BST 27 September

    Burns/Cantlay A/S Fitzpatrick/Hatton (14)

Oh hello. Sam Burns chips in from the fringe of the par-three 14th green and all of a sudden this match is level pegging again with neither Tyrrell Hatton or Matt Fitzpatrick able to rescue the situation with their putters.

Some non blue on the scorebaord for the first time in a while.

  7. Get Involvedpublished at 22:17 BST 27 September

Stuart: A caddie trying to walk across the line of someone’s putting line is so cheap - no wonder Justin called him out. Bryson trying to defend his caddie doing the indefensible

Jamie: I’m meant to be running the Loch Ness marathon tomorrow morning but can’t sleep and eagerly waiting for each text update! 0615 wake up to hopefully a blue board!

Job: DeChambeau showing he belongs right along the pathetic fans with that little display of shameless petulance. Learn to lose with grace guys.

Luke: Can I decree to call this Tommy and Justin pairing Rosewood, as they’re both tough and hard to beat?

  8. McIlroy & Lowry still in frontpublished at 22:16 BST 27 September

    Thomas/Young v McIlroy/Lowry 1UP (16)

Cameron Young steadies himself to putt in at the 16th and duly sinks a birdie.

"U-S-A, U-S-A" goes the chant from the crowd.

However, Rory McIlroy steps up and eases a putt in from a few feet to halve the hole. The European pair still have their noses in front.

  9. 'Feelings running high'published at 22:14 BST 27 September

    Scheffler/DeChambeau v Fleetwood/Rose 3UP (15)

    Alistair Bruce-Ball
    BBC Radio 5 Live commentator

Feelings are running high, it has been dramatic. The golf has been absolutely unbelievable.

    It's the Ryder Cup.

It goes to the edge and sometimes it goes over the edge.

  10. Postpublished at 22:13 BST 27 September

    Burns/Cantlay v Fitzpatrick/Hatton 1UP (13)

Matt Fitzpatrick and Tyrrell Hatton were thrown together at the last minute after Viktor Hovland pulled out of the fourballs with a neck issue.

But they have a bit to do on the par-five 13th with Patrick Cantlay eyeing up a six-foot birdie putt.

The English duo are at 11 and 17 feet out respectively but Cantlay can't drop in his putt, which lips out and the hole will be halved.

    Drama everywhere.

  11. Rahm again saves Europe leadpublished at 22:13 BST 27 September

While all that is going on further up the course, US have got Bryson DeChambeau's successor as US Open champion JJ Spaun hauling them back into this match.

He's just buried from 13 feet and put Jon Rahm back on the spot. He has to hole from eight feet to keep the lead.

    And he's done it again!

    Europe stay ahead!

  12. Tempers flare on 15th greenpublished at 22:12 BST 27 September

    DeChambeau/Scheffler v Fleetwood/Rose 3UP (15)

Right, this is what happened on the 15th green.

Justin Rose was eyeing up his putt and Bryson DeChambeau's caddie Gregory Bodine started to walk into his eyeline and in fact close to his line.

Rose ushered him back, quite pointedly.

He then holed his putt but celebrated fairly calmly.

DeChambeau holed his and did not celebrate calmly. And started chirping at the European pair and Fleetwood's caddie Ian Finnis as they left the green.

That continued all the way up the path to the 16th tee - with Scottie Scheffler's caddie Ted Scott also got involved and in fact became the most heated.

European vice-captain Francesco Molinari had to intervene to calm things down. Although they were still debating things as they walked down the 16th.

What is it with the Ryder Cup and American caddies?

    Thomas/Young v McIlroy/Lowry 1UP (15)

    Jonathan Jurejko

All the noise towards Rory McIlroy is now in his favour.

He’s being serenaded by the European fans after that pearler of an approach on 16. Beautiful shot.

The manner in which McIlroy and Lowry have kept their calm (mostly) and quelled their opponents has been mightily impressive.

  14. Postpublished at 22:08 BST 27 September

    DeChambeau/Scheffler v Fleetwood/Rose 3UP (15)

Bryson DeChambeau HOLES his birdie putt to keep this game alive.

    He has played superbly.

On to the 16th, but wait for the story...

  15. Postpublished at 22:07 BST 27 September

    DeChambeau/Scheffler v Fleetwood/Rose 3UP (14)

Scottie Scheffler hits a chip that a 12-handicapper could have bettered. He's out of this, and must be absolutely bewildered at how poorly he is playing.

    Justin Rose. From 15ft. IN.

And there is a story behind it. Coming up next, because for now, Bryson DeChambeau has to hole this.

  16. As it standspublished at 22:03 BST 27 September

All four matches being led by Europe

The US challenge is on life support here.

  17. Postpublished at 22:02 BST 27 September

    DeChambeau/Scheffler v Fleetwood/Rose 3UP (14)

Scottie Scheffler is off the left of the 15th in the juicy fringe. Tommy Fleetwood is on the right, not putting.

Bryson DeChambeau, after a exocet drive, hits a fine approach with a wedge.

Chance to get one back for the US.

  18. 'Business end of tournament and round'published at 22:00 BST 27 September

    Spaun/Schauffele v Rahm/Straka 1UP (13)

    Oliver Wilson

    Business end of the tournament.

    Business end of the round.

Huge putt (by Jon Rahm) to maintain the lead.

  19. Rahm staves off USpublished at 21:56 BST 27 September

    Schauffele/Spaun v Rahm/Straka 1UP (13)

First up is Xander Schauffele from five feet and he makes no mistake.

    Over to you Jon Rahm.

Three feet to keep the lead. In it goes.

    US keep their slender advantage.

  20. Lowry roars with delightpublished at 21:55 BST 27 September

    Thomas/Young v McIlroy/Lowry 1UP (15)

Once again when it matters Shane Lowry putts in for a birdie to halve the hole. The Irishman roars and then beats his chest in celebration.

Lowry is so pumped he forgets to scoop his ball out of the hole. Rory McIlroy chuckles and does the honours.

Both the Europeans and Americans are fired up with three left to play.
