Key match this, and if Rahm has anything to do with it, Europe will hang on.

Europe dodge a bullet as Bryson DeChambeau misses from eight feet - it's still a half though that moves them a hole closer to finishing this match off.

And they way these two have played they need to finish this off quickly as they'll surely be going out together this afternoon.

Scottie Scheffler does make a putt from distance this time, that's the good news for the USA - but the bad news is that it's only for a half so they stay two down in this one.

It was all looking good from the tee shots on the par five 13th for both Europe and USA.

It is looking less rosy after the second.

Collin Morikawa has sent his into the rough near the bunker before the green, meanwhile, Tommy Fleetwood's ball has ended up in the trees on the right.

The European pair will do well to leave this hole with their four-hole lead intact.

I thought we might see Tyrrell Hatton this afternoon in the fourballs but I'm now not sure. He isn't anywhere near his best, in all honesty.

Gets lucky with a rebound off some branches off the 12th tee and Jon Rahm will have a decent chance of a strike.

USA are fighting back today but the brilliance of the Europeans is keeping them at bay.

Tyrrell Hatton from the right fairway bunker. He grabs the shaft of his iron after he made contact and that signals he is worried about the contact.

Looked like he knifed that. Even the best do that sometimes folks.

Sure enough, it flies the green and nestles down in the rough.

Both pairs are playing like an amateur match down your local pay and play right now, in all sorts of trouble down among the trees and they're both now off the green in the rough after both hitting three.

Very messy stuff.

A so-so chip from Viktor Hovland but a solid par save from Bob MacIntyre to keep Europe 2UP in this match at the turn.

That's because Scottie Scheffler can't find some magic from distance with a 20 footer - he's not really made a putt of any significance at this Ryder Cup.

Perhaps more worryingly for the USA he doesn't look like a man who can make those kind of putts, the body language isn't great from the world number one.

Anything you can do, we can do too (and better).

Harris English plays his approach shot really nicely to land it around six feet from the hole and put the pressure right back on to Europe.

But if anyone can handle pressure, it is Masters champ Rory McIlroy.

The Northern Irishman gets a lovely bit of spin to get the ball stopping just a couple feet from cup.

No Mistake from Morikawa as he secures the birdie... and that is swiftly followed in by Tommy Fleetwood.

Europe not giving an inch in this foursomes.

Jon Rahm had hit his approach left of the green. Juicy rough as you know. But in a role reversal, this time Tyrrell Hatton hits a really nice chip to virtual gimme length.

Patrick Cantlay has a putt to win the hole though. Up the hill. Should turn a little right to left.

He doesn't get the line right though and that stays on the top side. Rahm tidies up for the four and Europe stay ahead.
