    McIlroy -12 (17)

This is the bunker Rory McIlroy holed out from spectacularly in 2022.

Before this round, probably his most memorable shot at the Masters.

Oh boy would he take that now.

  2. McIlroy finds greenside bunkerpublished at 23:46 British Summer Time 13 April

    McIlroy -12 (17)

Perfect position for Rory McIlroy in the middle of the 18th fairway and 125 yards left to the flag.

    Up it goes.

    Into the bunker!

    Drama till the very end.

Very much enjoying the Holywood videos.

Like a fan park during the Euros.

Except thankfully with less beer lobbing.

Here's the reaction back at Rory McIlroy's home club in Holywood when that birdie dropped on the 17th.

    Take your time Rory.

It's a school night but I don't think anyone is going to bed yet.

What a magnificent drive. He trusted himself.

That is his A-game with his driver and he nailed it.

One final tee shot for Rory McIlroy.

    Boom.

    He's smoked that.

Safely out of the bunkers. Safely into the short grass.

One more good swing and a couple of putts from history.

For those of you without pictures, sorry you only had my ramblings earlier to describe this moment of magic from Rory McIlroy.

Here's when he went all Harry Potter to swerve the trees at 15.

  9. Triple finish for Abergpublished at 23:38 British Summer Time 13 April

    Aberg -6 (72)

Ludvig Aberg is done. He's been in two bunkers on the 18th and then even with his fifth shot by the side if the green he hits it mikes by.

He finishes an excellent tournament with a shocking triple bogey seven on the last to sign for a 72 and finish on six under.

Aberg was 10 under standing on the 17th tee but finished bogey-triple bogey. I think knowing he couldn't win after Rose's birdie on the last just took all the wind out of his sails.

A reminder of what's on the line.

Win this and Rory McIlroy completes the career Grand Slam, the first European to join the four Americans and one South African in that exclusive club.

And he ends the most agonising of 11-year waits.

We've got all the stats in the world ready to throw at you if he gets this done.

    And breathe.

Rory’s revival has led to hugs, high-fives and a brief sing-song at Holywood Golf Club.

Now it’s back to staring at the screen and biting any nails that are left.

    McIlroy -11 (16)

My colleague has just said if Rory McIlroy misses this putt, he's never watching golf again.

Years of watching elite sportspeople knocking a tiny white (or yellow) ball around fancy courses on the line here.
