Tiger Woods speaking to Sky Sports after his final round: "I had hoped to shoot something in the 60s but the round I wanted was what Tom [Kim] was doing behind me [shooting 66].

"I thought I had that in my system but unfortunately it did not go the right way. I hit a bad tee shot on five and never got it back.

"The rest of the majors are definitely doable. I said last year about [playing] once a month. Hopefully for the next three my body will cooperate."

  2. Dialled inpublished at 21:58 British Summer Time 14 April

    Scheffler -8, Morikawa -5 (9)

Scottie Scheffler had a bit of trouble with his phone signal early doors, but he's definitely 'dialled in' now with another gorgeous iron shot into the 10th green.

It's 143 yards and he whips the club through with an exaggerated draw follow through that puts a nice bit of right-hand side on the ball to spin it down towards the hole.

    That's absolutely top class.

  3. Fleetwood finds birdie at 13published at 21:58 British Summer Time 14 April

    Fleetwood -4 (13)

Beautifully done from Tommy Fleetwood as he swirls a peach of a long range eagle putt to tap-in range on the 13th.

He joins Bryson DeChambeau at four under par.

  4. Fine DeChambeau birdie on 11published at 21:55 British Summer Time 14 April

    DeChambeau -4 (11)

After the past hour of wizardry from the leaders, seems like Bryson DeChambeau wants us to remember he's still in the top five.

That's a magical shot from the burly American on 11, whipped onto the green and leaving him five feet for birdie.

    Which he tiddles in.

    Four back at it stands.

  5. Homa birdies the 10thpublished at 21:54 British Summer Time 14 April

    Homa -7, Aberg -7 (10)

No 20-foot birdie for Ludvig Aberg on the 10th but Max Homa rolls in his third of the day after a sensational nine iron, to stay in touch at the top of the leaderboard.

  6. Hatton hamstrung by closing holespublished at 21:51 British Summer Time 14 April

    Hatton E (69)

The closing stretch has done for Tyrrell Hatton again.

The Englishman is in the clubhouse in a tie for 11th but it could have been so much better than his three under 69 for Sunday, had he managed to avoid back-to-back bogeys on the 17th and 18th holes.

    Fleetwood -3 (12)

    Thwack!

Tommy Fleetwood's gone hell for leather at the 13th green and he's picked out the putting surface with his second shot.

Remember that Azalea is a par five and, while he sizes up 60 feet for eagle, if he can knock it in close, that'd be another birdie to inch his way up the leaderboard.

  8. Three-shot swingpublished at 21:48 British Summer Time 14 April

    Scheffler -8, Morikawa -5 (9)

Huge hole this ninth, as Collin Morikawa ends up with a double bogey while Scottie Scheffler picks up a birdie after that magnificent approach - that's Augusta for you.

And now we enter the back nine on Sunday, so the masters can finally begin!

Ludvig Aberg's chocolate snack might have gone west just off the ninth green but what have you got to keep you going this evening as we get to the business end of the Masters?

  10. Bunker troublepublished at 21:45 British Summer Time 14 April

    Scheffler -8, Morikawa -7 (8)

Scheffler taps in for birdie and that heaps pressure on Collin Morikawa, pressure that tells as he tries to be just a bit too cute out of the greenside bunker and he leaves the ball in there.

Take two - and Morikawa escapes this time but leaves a tricky putt for bogey.

    Willett -9 (78)

Danny Willett has just signed for a final round of 78, which is basically 10 shots worse than he managed in his rather impressive opening round.

The 2016 champion will still be relatively happy though, as he has admitted he still does not have his full repertoire of shots given his return ahead of schedule from a serious shoulder injury.

  12. A Scottie special!published at 21:43 British Summer Time 14 April

    Scheffler -7, Morikawa -7 (8)

Scottie Scheffler comes within inches of holing out for a two from the fairway on nine, as he fizzes in an iron shot, hops and spins back down the hill with plenty of Scheffler swazz on the ball.

Tracking, the ball rolls down the slope and looks for all the world to be going in before it just takes a late diversion and comes to rest just next to the hole.

    Special stuff.

  13. Do you want him to win?published at 21:41 British Summer Time 14 April

    Aberg -7 (9)

Well might he grin - Ludvig Aberg is lighting up Augusta on debut.

But would you like to see this European rookie actually go on and win the Green Jacket?

    Tell us with the thumbs.

    Hojgaard -2 (9)

Five straight bogeys yesterday and a double bogey to start today for Nicolai Hojgaard, but he's battled back well with three birdies getting him to the turn level par for the day and two under for the tournament.

    Still there or thereabouts.

  15. Fleetwood makes par on Golden Bellpublished at 21:38 British Summer Time 14 April

    Fleetwood -3 (12)

Treacherous tee shot successfully navigated by Tommy Fleetwood as it lands safely on the back fringe.

A fine effort as he cosies his 33-foot birdie attempt close to the hole.

Never a bad thing to escape the 12th without punishment.

  16. Aberg drains lengthy putt for three-way share of leadpublished at 21:37 British Summer Time 14 April

    Homa -6, Aberg -7 (9)

Oh my word. This fella has all the shots. Ludvig Aberg has a huge grin on his face and is it any wonder - draining a 36-foot putt for birdie.

Three-way tie for the lead? Yes please.

The Swede can even afford to laugh after having his bar chocolate knocked from his hand by a fan going for a high five as he strolls off to the 10th tee.

  17. Postpublished at 21:34 British Summer Time 14 April

    Homa -6, Aberg -6 (8)

Max Homa finds the middle level of the multi-tiered ninth green, landing his ball maybe a couple of yards too long for nature to do its course and send his ball trickling back towards the cup.

Ludvig Aberg follows an almost identical line and gets a very similar result, albeit his ball is a couple of metres further right.

  18. Final pair in frontpublished at 21:32 British Summer Time 14 April

    Scheffler -7, Morikawa -7 (8)

Scottie Scheffler gets his birdie in first though on eight, as he plays a nice bump-and-run off the side of the green that leaves him with a very rare dead straight putt for a four.

That gives Scheffler the solo lead for around a minute as Collin Morikawa follows him in and this final pair take the lead.

    Tommy FleetwoodImage source, Getty Images

That's exactly the shot Tommy Fleetwood will have envisaged as his approach slaps onto the green, pin high and 23 feet from the flag.

It's a tough birdie putt though still and he can't sink it. Par will have to do.

    On to 12.

  20. DeChambeau three back at halfwaypublished at 21:28 British Summer Time 14 April

    DeChambeau -3 (9)

Nice par save from Bryson DeChambeau on the ninth after chipping from off the green to seven feet.

He's made the turn at level par for his round. Time to hit the accelerator if he hopes to win his sercond major.
