    Scheffler -6, Morikawa -6 (7)

Collin Morikawa is in a huge bunker on eight so lobs it out and trusts his wedge game, which pays off as he's fired in a ripper that stands to attention just past the flag and looks as good a birdie chance as you'll see.

  2. Homa in four-way tie for leadpublished at 21:24 British Summer Time 14 April

    Homa -6, Aberg -6 (8)

Is it a chip? Is it a putt. Ludvig Aberg goes for the latter and rolls close enough to surely save par although he'd have wanted to take advantage of this par five...

    Just like Max Homa.

The American sees his long-range eagle putt track left but is still close enough for a tap in birdie and a share of the lead.

  3. Zalatoris almost aces 16thpublished at 21:23 British Summer Time 14 April

    Zalatoris E (16)

Many of you will have backed Will Zalatoris this week.

Although the 27-year-old American is well adrift of the leaders, he could still sneak into the top 10 after sticking his tee shot on the par-three 16th within a ha'penny shove.

Not had any holes in one this week, have we?

Zalatoris, who has recovered from a back injury last year, is close but not close enough.

Oh no! He's missed the birdie putt. Unbelievable.

One there and another at the last could have seen Zalatoris - who finished second and sixth on his first two visits to Augusta National - complete an impressive hat-trick of top-10 finishes.

    Fleetwood -3 (10)

The 11th hole has only given up four birdies so far today but Tommy Fleetwood would love one to get to within two of the lead.

He's started it nicely enough, flashing a drive straight down the middle.

  5. Postpublished at 21:20 British Summer Time 14 April

    Homa -5, Aberg -6 (7)

Just 51 weeks ago, Ludvig Åberg was in college playing in the Big 12 Championship, I wonder if he has noticed the difference because he just looks so at ease with what he is doing.

Well that was until his third on the eighth...which skips through the green and rolls down the slope on the other side. The Swede looks down at the ground. He isn't happy with that at all.

    Delicate return from there.

  6. Postpublished at 21:16 British Summer Time 14 April

    Homa -5, Aberg -6 (7)

Since his drive up the eighth Ludvig Aberg has become the joint leader of the Masters.

Since 1900, only three players have won on their major championship debut, but nobody has done it yet at the Masters.

So of course he promptly sends his approach right and sees it skip off the edge.

  7. Scheffler slips backpublished at 21:16 British Summer Time 14 April

Another bogey for Scottie Scheffler after a really tough bunker shot - but he nearly got away with it as yet again he hung a putt right on the edge of the hole. He slips back into a three-way tie for the lead.

Collin Morikawa takes a while deciding if he wants a rules official to decide if his ball is on or off the green so he can clean it and line it up with any visual aid he has for his alignment (don't get me started on those).

Eventually he hits it and misses - after all that.

    DeChambeau -3, Schauffele -2 (8)

With Scottie Scheffler coming back to the field, there is scope for someone to break out of the pack.

Could it be Bryson? DeChambeau has a decent shout of birdie on eight from inside 20 feet but rolls it long.

    He stays three back.

Better from Xander Schauffele who makes it two birdies out of two on the par fives so far today.

  9. Postpublished at 21:12 British Summer Time 14 April

    Hatton -2 (15)

Tyrrell Hatton throws his hands up in the air unhappy after his birdie putt on the 15th sways well left but surely he could see that coming from the back right of the green.

The Englishman still makes a par which is a relative triumph given he's dropped four shots here in the previous three days.

  10. Postpublished at 21:11 British Summer Time 14 April

    Fleetwood -3 (10)

There's a giant tree blocking Tommy Fleetwood's route to the green on 10 despite finding the fairway with his tee shot.

He can't draw it round the mighty pine and ends up in a greenside bunker,

No matter as Fleetwood has great creativity and flips it out of the sand and across the giant green for a tap-in par.

    Disaster averted.

  11. Postpublished at 21:09 British Summer Time 14 April

    Homa -5, Aberg -6 (7)

Ludvig Aberg's swing is silky smooth and he sends another tee shot whistling away right up the middle of the eighth fairway, where he is joined by Max Homa.

  12. Rahm posts worst Augusta totalpublished at 21:05 British Summer Time 14 April

    Rahm +9 (76)

Not the week which Jon Rahm hoped for.

Many wondered how the defending champion would fare after jumping ship to the 54-hole LIV Tour - and he has been tamed by Augusta.

The 29-year-old Spaniard has not hit enough greens and not landed enough putts.

Rahm finishes with a four-over 76 for a total of 297 over the four days - his highest score at Augusta National in eight appearances.

  13. Postpublished at 21:03 British Summer Time 14 April

    Scheffler -7, Morikawa -6 (6)

The radar's a bit wonky again for Scottie Scheffler off the seventh tee as he pulls it straight left and the ball smacks into the a trunk of one of those grand old trees with a healthy smack of ball on bark.

It's bounced right across the fairway and into the left rough, where he's blocked out by branches from going for the green so has to bunt a shot out into the front bunkers and hope his short game can save him. Again.

  14. Ice cold Abergpublished at 21:03 British Summer Time 14 April

    Homa -5, Aberg -6 (7)

    Ludvig Aberg, you little dancer.

The Swede stiffs his iron into three feet on the seventh and drains his birdie putt. Nerves what nerves.

At the moment the Scandinavian has ice running through his veins and swaps places with his playing partner on the leaderboard.

Max Homa, whose middle name has been 'Steady' this week, pays for hooking his tee shot into the trees and is unable to get up and down from the edge of the green.

  15. Postpublished at 20:58 British Summer Time 14 April

    An -1, Smith -2, (8)

It's taken just over 20 minutes for Cameron Smith and Byeong Hun An to play the eighth but amazingly the Australian escapes with a par.

Given his predicament off the tee, that is some going.

  16. Postpublished at 20:57 British Summer Time 14 April

    Fleetwood -3, Young -1 (9)

A birdie to close out the front nine would do nicely for Tommy Fleetwood but it'll be a tough ask from 41 feet.

Not in the hole but safely to two feet as he goes round the houses on this troublesome green. He'll take the par and move into the second half of his final round.

Young has gone round in even par - and that doesn't change as he taps in.

  17. Postpublished at 20:56 British Summer Time 14 April

    Scheffler -7, Morikawa -6 (6)

    The MastersImage source, Getty Images

It's a cliff hanger from Scottie Scheffler as his long birdie putt just hangs in the jaws and clings on to daylight.

Collin Morikawa hits an almost identical putt to the last hole as it turns left to right and just slides across the face to miss another chance.

  18. Postpublished at 20:53 British Summer Time 14 April

    An -1, Smith -2, (7)

What am I watching here? Cameron Smith is down on his hands and knees playing his second on the eighth after drilling his tee shot deep into the foliage.

The Australian has enjoyed happier moments on this round...namely this superb eagle on the second.

  19. Postpublished at 20:50 British Summer Time 14 April

    DeChambeau -3, Schauffele -1 (7)

When Xander Schauffele lines up a birdie putt from four feet, it seems a gimme, but he's blown it and has to settle for par.

A bit wilder from Bryson DeChambeau who is off the back of the green but shows a steady hand to return in two to also close out the hole.

  20. Pars on fivepublished at 20:50 British Summer Time 14 April

    Scheffler -7, Morikawa -6 (5)

Collin Morikawa's long-range putt tracks all the way but just turns its nose up at the end and slides across the face - Scottie Scheffler's from considerably closer does the opposite and bends around behind the cup.

    Two pars.
