  1. Tiger's early alarm callpublished at 20:50 British Summer Time 14 April

Tiger Woods probably has to spend more time working on his body than his golf game these days.

It is amazing that Woods is able to play 72 holes at Augusta after all the serious injuries he has suffered.

Neal Shipley, who played alongside Woods today, gave a fascinating insight into how much time the former world number one needs to prepare for a round.

"He told me that he woke up at like 3:45am this morning just to get ready for the day - I got about three hours more sleep than him," said Shipley, who finished as the low amateur this week.

"I really appreciate all the work that he does to keep his body ready to come out here."

That 3.45am alarm call was 10 minutes short of six hours before his tee-time. How many of you will be that committed for your Monday morning roll-up?

  2. Aberg saves par at sixpublished at 20:47 British Summer Time 14 April

    Homa -6, Aberg -5 (6)

Ludvig Aberg's first putt goes racing 11 feet past the cup but he buries the return. What a fine temperament this fella has.

Max Homa is up next looking for a rare birdie but his effort stays right and it'll be yet another par.

  3. Postpublished at 20:46 British Summer Time 14 April

    Homa -6, Aberg -5 (5)

Ludvig Aberg just about negotiates the front bunker off the tee on the sixth which is playing as the sixth toughest hole on the course so far having yielded just six birdies.

He'll have a monster putt for birdie after failing to find the plateau where the pin is located and watching his ball drift 60/70 feet down a slope, but I suspect a par would be more than a positive result from there.

Max Homa's ball just about clung to the back edge and he'll have a chance to draw level with Scottie Scheffler very shortly.

  4. Fleetwood misses birdie chancepublished at 20:45 British Summer Time 14 April

Ah that was a chance for Tommy Fleetwood after he drifted a beautiful pitch onto the eighth green.

Eight feet for fifth by himself but it's a bend of the knees as it refuses to drop.

Par too for his playing partner Cameron Young.

  5. Scheffler finds a green!published at 20:43 British Summer Time 14 April

    Scheffler -7, Morikawa -6 (4)

That's more like it! Scottie Scheffler with a blinder of an iron approach to make the fifth green and set up a great chance of a bounce back birdie.

Collin Morikawa played a pretty good shot himself, but he landed it just a fraction too long and it catches a slope and trundles away from the hole. These greens...

  6. Hatton about to tackle difficult closing stretchpublished at 20:40 British Summer Time 14 April

    Hatton -2 (13)

If you've been monitoring the leaderboard, you'll have noticed the name of Tyrrell Hatton emerge from nowhere.

The Englishman has been going along very nicely and now adds a birdie at the 13th to those already collected at the second, sixth, 10th and 12th holes.

His big problem is that he's shipped eight shots on the closing stretch already this week with a record that includes a couple of double bogeys.

  7. Postpublished at 20:37 British Summer Time 14 April

    Homa -6, Aberg -5 (5)

Ludvig Aberg showing no signs of nerves here but he can't drain a long birdie attempt on the fifth that turned with more curl - right to left - than a shepherd's crook.

Still a par ain't too bad as Max Homa will affirm, after rolling in from a couple of feet.

  8. Schauffele drops another shotpublished at 20:36 British Summer Time 14 April

    DeChambeau -3, Schauffele -1 (

Bryson DeChambeau dinks a wedge to two feet and gets out of the sixth with a comfortable par.

His partner Xander Schauffele has seven feet to avoid dropping a shot but once again he's off line.

Back to one under for the tournament.

  9. Bogey for Schefflerpublished at 20:33 British Summer Time 14 April

    Scheffler -7, Morikawa -6 (4)

There's only so many times you can keep bailing yourself out if you're not hitting green at Augusta National, as Scottie Scheffler hands a shot right back on the long par three.

His 12 footer was always just edging away to the right and although a narrow miss it's a shot gone and the lead's back down to one as Collin Morikawa cards a fourth straight par.

    An -1, Smith -3, (7)

Cameron Smith was the early mover with an eagle at the second but since then a bogey at the fifth looks to have derailed any momentum and he has not yet been able to find a spark to make any serious inroads.

Byeong Hun An is also struggling to make any progress despite a birdie at the seventh and is meandering around just inside the top 10.

  11. Postpublished at 20:27 British Summer Time 14 April

    Scheffler -8, Morikawa -6 (3)

If you've ever played abroad and missed loads of green before realising all the markers were in metres not yards - you'll know what Scottie Scheffler must be feeling right now as he's just air mailed the fourth green and will need more short game magic to save par.

He's hit three genuine approach shots now and been nowhere near on distance on all three. Bizarre.

  12. Hatton continues impressive roundpublished at 20:26 British Summer Time 14 April

    Hatton -1 (12)

    England's Tyrrell Hatton is cooking.

He may be too far back to make an impression on the likes of Scottie Scheffler and co at the very top of the leaderboard but he rolls in a putt from downtown on the 12th to move to four under for the day and one under for the championship.

If he can keep this up he could have the lowest score in the fourth round (Tom Kim's 66) in his sights.

  13. DeChambeau swaps with Schauffelepublished at 20:23 British Summer Time 14 April

    DeChambeau -3, Schauffele -2 (5)

Back-to-back birdies for Bryson DeChambeau who has cancelled out those two bogeys at the start of his round.

And that's a fine conversion too, given he was in exile out on the fringe and putting from 32 feet.

He leapfrogs Xander Schauffele too after the Olympic champion found the bunker with his second shot and failed to get up and down.

  14. Postpublished at 20:22 British Summer Time 14 April

    Homa -6, Aberg -5 (4)

Max Homa finds the left greenside bunker off the tee on the fourth as his playing partner ends just inside him but crucially on the green - albeit miles from the pin.

Both are pretty accomplished with wedges and putter in hand and safely collect their pars.

  15. Scrambling Scottie stretches leadpublished at 20:21 British Summer Time 14 April

    Scheffler -8, Morikawa -6 (3)

It's not been champagne stuff to get there, but once Scottie Scheffler is near the green he's been the best player in the field this week.

His bunker skills shine through on two as he sticks a difficult shot close enough to roll in for a birdie and get to eight under.

Collin Morikawa has a similar second shot out of the sand and has to settle for par after leaving himself 15 feet or so.

  16. McIlroy's bunker troublespublished at 20:18 British Summer Time 14 April

    McIlroy +3 (10)

If only he could have done that at first time of asking...

Rory McIlroy's mini charge ends on the 10th as he finds the greenside bunker with his approach and then cannons his escape right into its face.

Two shots to get out of a bunker doesn't cut it at the Masters and even though he lands his third to five feet it's a shot gone.

  17. Fleetwood birdies the seventhpublished at 20:17 British Summer Time 14 April

    Fleetwood -3, Young -1 (7)

Delightful from Tommy Fleetwood as he wedges in from 100 yards and leaves himself five feet for birdie.

Can he convert? You bet. Two under for his round and going well.

  18. Postpublished at 20:12 British Summer Time 14 April

    Homa -6, Aberg -5 (3)

Ludvig Aberg and Max Homa walk off the third green with no damage done. Patience is key around the Augusta National and both look to have it in bucketloads at the moment.

  19. Missed chance for Morikawapublished at 20:10 British Summer Time 14 April

    Scheffler -7, Morikawa -6 (2)

    Scottie SchefflerImage source, Getty Images

Collin Morikawa misses a huge chance for birdie on the second from about five feet - and that's a bit of a waste having made the green in two.

Scottie Scheffler has a nasty chip off the back which is lightning quick, but he plays it brilliantly and then holds his nerve to can the four-footer for par.

That's two big misses with short irons though for Scheffler which will be a concern.

  20. Hatton on the movepublished at 20:10 British Summer Time 14 April

    Hatton E (10)

Talking of players on the move...

England's Tyrrell Hatton is currently tied for 13th, which is coincidentally also the best he has ever finished in eight previous appearances in the Masters, after picking up birdies at the second, sixth and 10th holes.
