Scheffler v McIlroy 1UP (3)
Long putts for both players as I said.
Three for Scottie. Three for Rory.
Young v Rose 1UP (5)
Catriona Matthew
Captain of Team Europe at the 2019 & 2021 Solheim Cup on BBC Radio 5 Live
It certainly took a good one-two minutes to look for (Justin Rose’s) ball. There was three or four people looking for it, they were on their knees trying to get it.
In a way a slightly fortunate break for Justin.
1UP Schauffele v Rahm (1)
Neither Xander Schauffele or Jon Rahm look overly thrilled with the approach into the flag on the first.
The American comes up 23 feet short, while his opponent skips 17 feet past. Schauffele misses his birdie putt. Rahm does the same, rolling it three feet past and can't save his par, pushing his effort left.
Can you believe it
Get your best players performing they say.
Well look at that blue in the top four matches.
Thomas v Fleetwood 2UP (4)
Oliver Wilson
Former Ryder Cup player on BBC Radio 5 Live at Bethpage Black
I've never heard anyone say anything slightly negative about Tommy Fleetwood.
He's such a cool dude, lives his life in the right way and just also happens to be phenomenal at golf.
What is there not to love about him?
Young v Rose 1UP (5)
Justin Rose makes the most of that free drop by rolling in for par and with Cameron Young only making a five the Englishman puts yet more blue on the scoreboard.
Thomas v Fleetwood 2UP (4)
We are only four holes into this match, but Justin Thomas is struggling to find his rhythm on the greens.
He misses a putt from about eight feet to hand Tommy Fleetwood a second hole.
Scheffler v McIlroy 1UP (2)
Little to report on the third for Match Four. Two solid but unspectacular shots on the par three. I'm predicting a half in threes.
Young A/S Rose (4)
Justin Thomas in a spot of bother on the fifth hole as his approach shot has slammed into the lip of a bunker and buried itself into the turf.
The referee is in to sort this one out, and it's deemed to be embedded which means Rose gets a free drop, within a club length, so he can drop it outside the sand trap and chip onto the green
Spaun v Straka (18:08 BST)
The US Open champion has perhaps been under-used by Captain Bradley this week.
He's only played in the fourballs despite his game seeming well suited for foursomes.
Sepp Straka came in to the Ryder Cup without lots of good recent form but won his fourball match alongside Jon Rahm, even if the Spaniard did most of the heavy lifting.
One match where Team USA might fancy their chances, but the big Austrian is a proper talent.
Schauffele v Rahm
Xander Schauffele and Jon Rahm both take the aerial route to cut the corner off down the first.
By the looks of it the Spaniard has done a marginally better job and is in the slightly shorter stuff.
Scheffler v McIlroy 1UP (2)
Oliver Wilson
Former Ryder Cup player on BBC Radio 5 Live at Bethpage Black
Anytime you can stamp any authority, you have to take it and that’s what this European team are fired up to do today.
Scheffler v McIlroy 1UP (2)
Take two for Scottie Scheffler is much better. He nearly holed that - was just a touch speedy. A five for the world number one.
But that means two putts for Rory McIlroy for the win.
Needs just one - one up to the European in this glamour match.
Cantlay A/S Aberg (1)
Solid start for Ludvig Aberg as he gets down in two from 35 feet for par, and leaves Patrick Cantlay with just a littler tester for the half.
He takes his time, as he always does, but as he usually does he finds the bottom of the cup, albeit the ball wiped its feet before deciding to drop.
Scheffler A/S McIlroy (1)
Yep, that was tricky for Scottie Scheffler. But that is the worst possible scenario... he dumps it three feet in front of his feet and has more or less the same chip again.
Should make any weekend warriors who are reading this better about doing anything similar this morning!
DeChambeau v Fitzpatrick 2UP (3)
Not ideal at all from Fitzy on the third...he sends his iron well left and it bounces into the greenside bunker with the pin situated way off right.
It's made all the worse as Bryson DeChambeau zips into 10 feet.
The Englishman responds with beauty out of the sand that runs into two feet and then watches DeChambeau clumsily prod his birdie putt six feet past.
The American can't make the return trip either and Fitzpatrick is two up.
Schauffele v Rahm (17:57 BST)
This has the making of a classic. Xander Schauffele is one of only two Americans to stick two points on the board this week, while Jon Rahm has maintained his reputation as one of Europe's best ever Ryder Cup players.
The Spaniard has already picked up three points this week and will be keen to avenge his narrow loss in the fourballs on Saturday, when Schauffele was paired against him.
Scheffler v McIlroy A/S (1)
Iain Carter
BBC golf correspondent on BBC Radio 5 Live at Bethpage Black
It’s such a different dynamic and when you see Scheffler like we did at The Open, he’s in his comfort zone when it’s him and Ted Scott – very individual in that respect in the way Tiger Woods was.
Scheffler A/S McIlroy (1)
Rory McIlroy took three-wood on the second tee, trying to turn that round the dog-leg. Overcooked it a bit but it's sitting nicely in the semi-rough.
Scottie Scheffler over-cooked even more. That's a bit burnt actually. In the rough close to the tree line.
Wasn't the nicest of lies and that looked a touch thin as it came out. Through the back and a tricky chip.
McIlroy in contrast safely digs his out to 15 feet.
