    West Ham's net debt increases to £77m and owners David Sullivan and David Gold loan the club another £10.5m to try to secure their Premier League status.

    The club's annual accounts show for the year ending May 31 2013, when they finished 10th in the Premier League, the Hammers enjoyed record revenue of £89.8m and had more commercial income than ever before but still made a loss of £3.5m, an improvement on the £24m loss of the previous season.

    South Korea international midfielder Ji So-yun signs for Chelsea Ladies on a two-year deal.

    The 22-year-old has represented her country 55 times and scored 26 goals, having made her debut aged 15, and joins from Japanese league and cup holders INAC Kobe Leonessa.

    Chelsea manager Emma Hayes said: "She is one of the best midfielders in the world and our fans will love her."

    The Olympic Torch is currently on its way to Sochi ahead of next month's Winter Olympics.

    Today, the flame has been passed between 67 people for 6.7 km and carried by different Olympic champions, fighting and wrestling champions and Olympians from the 2008 Paralympics.

    Yesterday, the torch was carried on a camel and the flame goes to Grozny, the capital of Chechnya, tomorrow.

    Jose Mourinho's comments on Arsenal's favourable treatment by English football's fixture compilers receive a sharp response from Arsene Wenger. The Chelsea boss cited Arsenal's fixture list when responding to Wenger's views that the decision for the Blues to sell Juan Mata to Manchester United was unfair.

    "It is simple - look at the fixtures and analyse it... I trust you will give an objective view," the Arsenal boss tells a news conference.

    "You will see Arsenal are behind all the other teams. In the last five years all the objective studies that have been made show Arsenal had less rest than any other team in the top four.

    "That is fact. It has nothing to do with my opinion."

    Sam Warburton's central contract with the Welsh Rugby Union (WRU) could put other players in a very difficult position, according to his former Wales team-mate Martyn Williams.
