Jose Mourinho claims Manchester City and Liverpool have an advantage over Chelsea in the title race, and says Arsenal can still win the Premier League.

"We play in the Champions League - they don't," adds the Chelsea manager. "We have to play matches with two and three days between. We have to change our focus from Premier League to Champions League and go back to Premier League.

"Liverpool keep going in their perfect season. We have to play Champions League. We have no time to prepare for matches like they have. I think it's a big advantage they have. It is still still open for Arsenal. It is more difficult because they are a few points behind the other teams, but it is still mathematically possible."

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho says his side's position at the top of the Premier League is a "fake situation" because they have played two more games than title rivals Manchester City.

"The team has been playing well for a long time but the situation is fake," adds Mourinho at his pre-match news conference ahead of Saturday's match at Crystal Palace. "It only matters when we have all had the same number of matches."

    Phil McNulty
    BBC Sport chief football writer

I picked Chelsea in my pre-season predictions so there can be no going back now, although Manchester City and Liverpool are a serious threat. Chelsea have a habit, especially under Jose Mourinho, of getting the job done even when not playing at their best. The danger for them is if they have one of those days, such as at Aston Villa or at home to West Ham United, when their finishing touch deserts them.

Vice-chairman of the Manchester United Supporters' Trust Ian Stirling says plans by fans to hire a plane with a banner demanding David Moyes is sacked is wrong.

"I can understand their feelings, but it is not the way I would do it," Stirling tells BBC Radio 5 live. "This is part of a bigger story about the appointment of David Moyes. He was the 'chosen one' and we had Sir Alex Ferguson on the pitch at Old Trafford telling the fans to get behind him.

"The 'Chosen One' banner should not have stayed longer than the Chelsea game at the start of the season. We now have a ridiculous situation where stewards are guarding it."
