Throughout the team Manchester City have world-class players. They have a problem in one position at centre-back but, if you're going to have a weakness, it might as well be in the place where the other player - Vincent Kompany - is the best in the world. However, if they lose Yaya Toure and Kompany for any reason then I don't think they'll win it. They could cope without anyone else, but not those two.

England captain Stuart Broad describes Alex Hales's unbeaten 116 in the World Twenty20 victory over Sri Lanka as one of the best innings he has ever seen. The 25-year-old opener hit England's first T20 century as they chased 190 to win by six wickets in Chittagong.

"On the biggest stage in a World Cup, in conditions that are a bit foreign for us, it's one of the best knocks I've ever seen," adds Broad. "To take responsibility and win it with a few balls to spare is very special."

Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg beat Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen to set fastest time in second practice at the Malaysian Grand Prix. Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel was third as the fastest three cars were split by just 0.061 seconds.

Rosberg's team-mate Lewis Hamilton was fourth from Ferrari's Fernando Alonso, both of them within 0.2secs of Rosberg. Williams' Felipe Massa was sixth, from Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo and McLaren's Jenson Button.

BBC F1 analyst Allan McNish pointed out that Hamilton and Alonso both appeared to have more potential than they showed. "They were both 0.5secs off the pace in the first sector of the lap," McNish says. "If they put a lap together, they look like they have more in their cars than their team-mates."
