    Cardiff City manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been speaking at his final news conference of the season. Cardiff are already relegated to the Championship.

    He said: "It's a great chance to rebuild a team. Sometimes you have to take a step back to push on; we'll have a pre-season and time to prepare.

    "The experience of playing in the Premier League has given everyone a taste of it. It makes the desire to bounce back even stronger. We focus on Sunday first, however. We want to give the fans a final-day positive to enjoy first and foremost."

    Ryan Giggs says there is no pressure on him to guide Manchester United into the Europa League.

    United will finish sixth on goal difference if they beat Southampton and Tottenham lose at home to Aston Villa.

    "There is not really a lot of pressure on me at the moment because it is just four games and we can't really win anything," Giggs says. "We can only qualify for the Europa League and we will carry on trying to do that. You get a little taste of the pressure you are put under with regards to picking teams and wanting to do your best."

    Manchester United legend Sir Bobby Charlton guarantees supporters the club will finish above rivals Manchester City next season.

    City are on course to win the Premier League title, while United have endured a tough campaign and sacked David Moyes as manager in April.

    But Charlton, a director at United, says it will be different in 2014-15. He said: "Next year I guarantee that we will be number one in Manchester. We like to be first and we will be first."

    "We have the chance to finish in the top 10 for the first time and, if things go well, we can go ninth which would be an incredible achievement. We weren't able to get the balance right in the first half of the season but in time we have been able to do that.

    "We've been a lot better throughout the second half of the season, but to be fair that is exactly how I envisaged the season panning out."

    On Liverpool loanee Oussama Assaidi: "Liverpool hold the cards. We would like to make a permanent deal happen. We are in initial discussions at the moment."

    The Houston Texans select giant defensive lineman Jadeveon Clowney with the first pick of the annual NFL draft.

    The South Carolina star was favoured over Auburn offensive tackle Greg Robinson, picked by the St Louis Rams. Central Florida quarterback Blake Bortles was drafted third, while his Texas A&M opposite number Johnny Manziel, winner of the Heisman Trophy awarded annually to the top player in US college football, was only 22nd.

    The draft finishes on Saturday.

    The 40-year-old is one of the most highly rated bosses in Scotland after guiding his side to a top-six finish in the Premier League and a Scottish Cup final next week.

    Pool chairman Karl Oyston on Thursday made an official approach to speak to McNamara, only for the bid to be rejected by the Tannadice club.

    Hull goalkeeper Allan McGregor is in contention to start against Everton on Sunday after a six-week injury lay-off.

    The Scotland international appeared to be out for the season when he broke three ribs and damaged a kidney at the end of March, but has been battling desperately to prove his fitness before the FA Cup final on 17 May.

    Paul McShane (ankle) may also feature for the first time since February, with captain Curtis Davies due a rest alongside cup-tied duo Shane Long and Nikica Jelavic, but Robbie Brady (groin) and James Chester (hamstring) are definitely out.

    Martin Samuel of the Daily Mail believes the FA commission's plan for a B-team league is doomed to fail.

    Writing in his column,, external he says: "The Premier League B teams would include players earning far in excess of the norm for the competition and have financial structures that bear no relation to those of the standard lower league club.

    "For the bottom line is that Manchester United B do not really exist. Not as a real club with a board and an independent revenue stream, and sponsors and advertisers, supporters and a gate and salaries that conform to the limitations of League Two.

    "So to expect Accrington Stanley to be tied to Football League regulations on expenditure, while playing against a striker earning £25,000 a week whose owners are not party to the same rules, is entirely unfair."

    Manchester United interim manager Ryan Giggs is speaking in his news conference right now and says Phil Jones and Wayne Rooney are unlikely to be fit for trip to Southampton, but has no doubts they will be ready for England's World Cup campaign.

    "Phil Jones's injury is not as bad as I thought. His shoulder just popped out. He won't be fit for Sunday but he will be OK for the World Cup," says Giggs.

    "Rooney has just started training over the last couple of days. Sunday is a little bit too quick for him. He is obviously training and will be fine for the World Cup."

    All Ukrainian league matches scheduled for this weekend, as well as the domestic cup final next Thursday, are to be played behind closed doors for security reasons, the Football Federation of Ukraine (FFU) confirms.

    Political unrest, provoked by pro-Russian separatists in southern and eastern parts of the country has also forced matches in the Donetsk, Lugansk, Kharkiv and Odessa regions to be relocated.

    With only two rounds remaining in the Ukrainian Premier League, football officials have yet to decide if supporters will be allowed into stadiums for the final week of fixtures.
