Irish played 'clever' rugbypublished at 11:15 British Summer Time 6 August 2014
Ireland women's captain Fiona Coghlan says the team's shock World Cup victory over four-time defending champions New Zealand came as no surprise to the Irish side.
The 17-14 victory over the Black Ferns led to joyous scenes among the Irish, but Coghlan said the win had been a result of meticulous planning.
"We pinned them back in their own 22. We played clever rugby," said the Ireland skipper. "Before the game we spoke a lot about taking the game to them and not just sitting back and being defensive."
