    Irvine, who has signed 10 players in the summer, is after another winger to complete his squad.

    Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers tells his club's official website:, external "Hopefully it was great for the supporters to sit and watch the draw for the first time in five years.

    "To be back in it again, no matter who we were going to play, it was always going to be exciting. But to have Real Madrid in your group, the champions last season, is going to be special.

    "I'm already thinking of Anfield on that night. But there are two other good teams in it along with us. It's a tough group but we'll really look forward to the challenge of getting out of the group."

    Crystal Palace are "very close" to completing the season-long loan signing of Wilfried Zaha from Manchester United, according to new manager Neil Warnock (pictured).

    Zaha, 21, will return to Palace after just two appearances for United despite costing the Old Trafford club £15m.

    "We're very close, we've agreed everything, there's just a few little bits insurance-wise," said Warnock. "The forms are signed from our end, and I've spoken to Wilfried."

    Tottenham will be without Spanish striker Roberto Soldado for the second leg of their Europa League play-off tie against Cypriot side AEL Limassol.

    Soldado scored in Mauricio Pochettino side's 2-1 win in the first leg, but will not play because of neck and back injuries.

    Romanian defender Vlad Chiriches could feature for the first time this season after recovering from a back injury. Right-back Kyle Naughton returns following suspension, but Kyle Walker is ruled out with a hip problem.

    The long-running feud in Welsh rugby between the Welsh rugby union and the four regions has been settled, with the announcement of a new six-year Rugby Services Agreement.

    Under the new agreement, the Wales head coach Warren Gatland will select a number of players to be dual-contracted, a move designed to ensure a core of Welsh internationals remain in Wales.

    A new selection policy has also been finalised, ruling that no player based overseas can play for Wales, although Gatland is able to make exceptions. The WRU will contribute 60% of the dual-contracts, with the regions 40%.

    The regions will all receive an increase in funding from the union, as well as a one-off payment of £500,000. The agreement will mean British and Irish Lions captain Sam Warburton will now be able to resume club duties for Cardiff Blues.

    Manuel Pellegrini's men face Bayern Munich, CSKA Moscow and Roma in Group E.

    It seems the majority of you do indeed disagree with Andre Schurrle. He reckons Chelsea have a tough draw, but only 4% of you believe the Blues have the hardest route out of the group stages.

    Chelsea face Schalke, Sporting Lisbon and Maribor in Group G.

    Hull City boss Steve Bruce will once again give his fringe players a chance as they aim to overturn a 2-1 deficit in the second leg of their Europa League play-off with KSC Lokeren.

    Bruce made wholesale changes to his squad for the 1-0 defeat in Belgium last week and should again start with defender Harry Maguire. Striker Yannick Sagbo could start after serving a two-game domestic ban.

    New signing Michael Dawson is not eligible following his move from Tottenham this week.
