    It looks like Manchester City have the toughest task out of the four English sides. German champions Bayern Munich, Russian champions CSKA Moscow and Roma, runners-up in last season's Serie A, all await for Manuel Pellegrini's side.

    Jose Mourinho will be smiling. Chelsea face Schalke (Germany), Sporting Lisbon (Portugal) and Slovenian champions Maribor, who knocked Celtic out in the play-off round. Schalke came third in the Bundesliga, while Sporting Lisbon came second in the Primeira Liga.

    Liverpool and Arsenal will also be fancying their chances of finishing in the top two. Brendan Rodgers's side faces a mouth-watering tie against Real Madrid, and will be confident of overcoming the other two sides - Basel and Ludogorets Razgrad.

    Arsene Wenger's Arsenal play Borussia Dortmund, Belgian champions Anderlecht and Turkish runners-up Galatasaray.

    Ludogorets Razgrad only formed in 2001 and play in a stadium which holds 8,000 supporters.

    In a fairytale for the Bulgarian club, they will face Liverpool, Basel and Real Madrid in this season's Champions League.

    Last night they overcame Steaua Bucharest when defender Cosmin Moti played in goal for a penalty shootout, saving twice and scoring from the spot.

    Bulgarian side Ludogorets Razgrad needed a centre-half to go in goal and save two penalties in the shoot-out to qualify for the Champions League. Well, what a reward. Real Madrid and Liverpool await them, along with Basel of Switzerland, in Group B.

    APOEL Nicosia have the toughest task of all teams. They have to get out of a group containing Barcelona, Paris St-Germain and Ajax. Good luck, lads.

    Barcelona met Ajax for the first time in their history in last season's Champions League group stage. The Dutch side won at home but went down 4-0 at the Nou Camp. The sides will meet again this year.

    Manchester City will have a tricky trip to CSKA Moscow, as well as games against German champions Bayern Munich. It is looking a tough draw for Manuel Pellegrini's side.

    Every year there is a so-called Group of Death. This year it is Group F. Barcelona, Paris St-Germain and Ajax.
