    Former Scotland winger Pat Nevin says watching the national team has become enjoyable again under the management of his ex-international team-mate Gordon Strachan.

    Scotland have won half of their 16 matches since former skipper Strachan took over in January 2013, and have made an encouraging start to Euro 2016 qualification.

    "It has been an incredible improvement under Gordon. He has been fantastic and he gets the best out of the players," Nevin tells BBC Radio 5 live.

    "They are playing in a very positive way and every Scotsman now enjoys watching Scotland - we used to suffer watching Scotland."

    Fox News is reporting that former Major League Baseball star Jose Canseco is planning to sell his middle finger on eBay, weeks after he accidentally shot it off while cleaning his handgun.

    Canseco announced on his Twitter account Monday he is putting the finger up for auction.

    Head coach Warren Gatland hopes the return of a few familiar faces can provide Wales with the know-how to cause a shock against world champions New Zealand.

    "It's one of the most experienced teams we have put out," says the Kiwi, who has named virtually the same team which narrowly lost to Australia.

    "A couple of decisions have been forced upon us. Gethin Jenkins has a hamstring strain, Bradley Davies hasn't trained for the first couple of days and Liam Williams had a bit of ankle knock at the weekend. It was a big call on him but he will start on the bench.

    Wales return to a familiar looking XV for the visit of the mighty New Zealand to Cardiff this weekend.

    Head coach Warren Gatland rang the changes for Saturday's limp 17-13 win over Fiji and has reverted to the majority of the side which faced Australia in their opening autumn Test.

    That means there is no place for either full-back Liam Williams or flanker Justin Tipuric - who, unlike the rest of their team-mates, impressed against the Fijians.

    Police say Marseille president Vincent Labrune is in custody as part of an investigation into the transfer of striker Andre-Pierre Gignac to the French league club in 2010, reports Associated Press.

    Former club president Jean-Claude Dassier and Marseille director general Philippe Perez have also been arrested.

    Judicial officials are trying to find out whether the club leaders took illicit commissions when Gignac signed from Toulouse.

    The International Olympic Committee announces 40 recommendations for changes in the way the Games are run.

    Among the key points is that that bidding for the Olympics is set to become cheaper, easier and more attractive for cities.

    Bid cities will no longer need to abide by extensive IOC rules, or carry alone the considerable financial burden of the bid if the recommendations are approved, as expected, at the IOC session in Monaco in December.

    Dutch football authorities are calling for a criminal investigation after a photograph Netherlands and QPR midfielder Leroy Fer posted online, external attracted a string of racist comments.

    Fer posted the picture, which appears to have been taken by striker Memphis Depay, on Twitter. Both Fer and Depay are black, as are several of their team-mates.

    The website Voetbalzone.nl, external put the photo on its Facebook page, where it drew a stream of racist comments over the weekend.

    Fer, who plays for Queens Park Rangers, told Dutch daily De Telegraaf he was shocked by the reaction. "It feels like those people are saying `you don't belong in the Dutch team'," he said.

    Baseball team Miami Marlins have signed 25-year-old Giancarlo Stanton on a £208m ($325m) 13-year contract.

    "This is a landmark day," said Marlins owner Jeffrey Loria, with considerable understatement.

    The value of the deal makes it a record in USA sport, although the £187m ($292m) 10-year contract Detroit's Miguel Cabrera signed March is worth more annually.
