    Opener Mohammad Hafeez hit 76 from 92 balls as Pakistan made 252 all out in 48.3 overs in the second day-night international against New Zealand in Sharjah on Friday.

    Skipper Misbah-ul Haq chipped in with a 65-ball 47 and Shahid Afridi fired three sixes in 27 from 14 balls to rescue Pakistan from a shaky 20-3 after they won the toss. Pakistan lead the five-match series 1-0 after winning the first game in Dubai by three wickets.

    Olympic champion Tina Maze consolidated her overall World Cup lead on Friday when she produced a stunning second giant slalom run to clinch an impressive victory in Are, Sweden.

    Trailing after the first leg, the 31-year-old from Slovenia recorded a combined time of two minutes 23.84 seconds, 0.2 seconds ahead of Sweden's Sarah Hector and 0.28 seconds clear of Eva-Maria Brem of Austria.

    She leads the giant slalom World Cup standings after three events with 220 points, ahead of Mikaela Shiffrin of the United States on 166.
