    The 2015 Formula 1 calendar could be reduced from the 21 races after Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone revealed that South Korean organisers don't want the Grand Prix they are down to host on 3 May.

    "They (local organisers) would rather it not happen," he told reporters.

    "We have a contract with Korea... we have to put it on the calendar. If we hadn't have done they could have sued us."

    The race was dropped in 2014 after the hosts wanted to lower the fee paid to Formula 1.

    Wade Ormsby and Scott Strange lead the Australian PGA Championship by two shots at the halfway stage.

    Ormsby [pictured] carded a 67 and Strange shot 66 to reach nine under at Royal Pines on the Gold Coast.

    World number three Adam Scott, who revealed before the start of play that his wife is pregnant with their first child, is third.

    A Japan international volleyball player has been arrested on suspicion of stealing cash from a wallet at a 'pachinko' pinball parlour.

    Kongoh Oh, 30, confessed to taking the money, according to police, and his club team Toray have pulled out of national championships in a show of remorse.

    Newcastle captain Fabricio Coloccini is set to be passed fit for their meeting with Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

    Boss Alan Pardew is closely monitoring the Argentine's recovery from a hamstring injury, while fellow defender Daryl Janmaat is also available after he shrugged off a minor problem.

    However Moussa Sissoko and Steven Taylor are suspended and Rolando Aarons is ruled out for a month with a hamstring strain.

    Exeter City midfielder prospect Matt Grimes is comparable to a young Glenn Hoddle, according to the club's director of football Steve Perryman.

    The 19-year-old, who has this week been linked with a move to the Premier League in the January transfer window, has made 59 appearances for the Grecians and scored four goals - all of them from free-kicks.

    Perryman, a team-mate of Hoddle's at Tottenham, told BBC Radio Devon. "I saw a young Glenn Hoddle emerge and this is another world, but he's a talent.

    "I just think he's undoubted quality. He's the best technical player we've produced ever since I've been here."
