    Jo Pavey has won the British Athletics Athlete of the Year Award after a highly successful season in which she captured her first international gold medal. The 41-year-old mother of two inspired became the oldest ever gold medallist at a European Championships with her stunning 10,000m victory in Zurich in August.

    Matthew Hudson-Smith [Young Athlete], Hannah Cockroft [Paralympic], Maria Lyle [Young Paralympic], Steve Fudge [Coach], Swansea Harriers [Club] and Blair Pettigrew [Volunteer] were the other winners.
